Strong and Sensitive
Audrey Hepburn's Beauty Secrets

by Doreen Virtue, Ph.D.
Mahatma Gandhi once said, "The point of life is not to increase its speed."

As a sensitive lightworker, you may find yourself getting caught up in the universal energy's speed-up. You can feel how the shift has accelerated everything, and your body may confuse this feeling as a signal that it needs to go faster. You may feel a sense of time urgency that causes you to think about the future, instead of enjoying the present moment. Time urgency also shows up as shallow breathing, rapid eating, chemical dependency, and tense emotions.

There's no need to go fast though! In fact, this is the time to do the opposite and savor each moment. Last week, I was fortunate to attend a talk by, and to personally meet and receive darshan from, His Holiness the Fourteenth Dalai Lama. My strongest impression of Dalai Lama was his joy and love-filled aura and demeanor. His many hours of meditation are palpable and visible! He provided a wonderful reminder to me of the importance and power of devoting time to meditation.

Through meditation, we can discern between our own feelings and the emotions we're absorbing from other people and from the world consciousness. We can better hear the voice of Spirit when we sit still and are quiet. Meditation is the single best way to get in touch with your angels, to develop your psychic skills, to receive inspiration and answers, to feel closer to God, and to feel happy and peaceful.

A Course in Miracles' Manual for Teachers says that it's not quantity of time spent in meditation that matters. Instead, the quality of meditation is what's important. Meditation simply means focusing on your inner senses (such as thoughts, visions, breath, feelings, etc.) instead of the outer sensations. You don't need to sit or breath in a special way. You don't need to sit in a special place – any quiet place will do: a corner of a room, a bathroom, your backyard. The point is to practice and enjoy meditation, and not be concerned about the details.

Sensitivity is one of our gifts. It helps us to receive information non-verbally, both from the physical and from the spiritual world.

It IS possible to be both strong AND sensitive. In fact it's necessary right now. A sensitive person is tuned in to the earth's changing dynamics, to the shifting tides of humanity, and to their own inner truth. But without strength, the sensitive person won't take action on their guidance. Now's the time to develop both strength and sensitivity, so that we're both tuned in and unafraid of taking guided action! This is especially true for the Indigo Children (who need to be renamed the Indigo Young Adults), as we're looking to them to lead us out of the old energy of corruption and greed. Indigos, we need you to speak up, stand up, and take charge now!

Strength increases your self-esteem and self-confidence. Make a commitment and personal vow to develop your sensitivity and your strength. Use affirmations such as, "It is safe for me to be strong," "I am a beautiful, sensitive, and strong woman," or "I am an awesome sensitive and strong man."

Make a commitment to daily efforts toward developing your sensitivity through activities such as:

1. Meditate first thing in the morning and just before falling asleep. Also incorporate meditation during the day.

2. Close your eyes and tune in to what your body is feeling.

3. Mentally ask your angels for guidance and then notice the impressions that come to you as thoughts, feelings, visions, and words.

4. Focus on the present moment during EVERY activity you're engaged in.

5. Eat organic unprocessed foods whenever possible.

6. Use toiletries and cleaning supplies with natural and organic ingredients.

7. Shield yourself by visualizing light surrounding you.

8. Admit your deepest feelings to yourself. Journaling is a wonderful way to do this.

9. Listen to beautiful music at home and work.

10. Pray, affirm, and visualize yourself, your relationships, and your world as peaceful and harmonious.

Make a commitment to building your strength on all levels: physical, emotional, spiritual, financial, intellectual, and so on. Here are some ways to do so:

1. Daily physical exercise to build your heart and muscle strength.

2. Drink "super green powder" (consisting of powdered wheat grass, spirulina, and vegetables, available at all health food stores in many wonderful brands) in your juice once or twice a day to clean and detoxify your body.

3. Go to a steam bath or sweat lodge.

4. Release addictions to Archangel Raphael, to be free of unhealthful cravings.

5. Say "I love you" to yourself and your loved ones daily.

6. Follow your dreams, even if it seems frightening or intimidating
.
7. Listen to, and follow, the advise that you give to other people.

8. Visit a spiritual power place.

9. Tell the truth to yourself and others, with love and respect.

10. Give, give, give, and receive, receive, receive.

Audrey Hepburn's Beauty Secrets

Audrey Hepburn was beautiful inside and out. It was fitting that she played an angelic spirit guide in her last acting role, in the movie, "Always." When asked about her secrets for staying so beautiful, this is what she said:

For attractive lips, speak words of kindness.
For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.
For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.
For beautiful hair, let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day.
For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone.
People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed,
revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; Never throw out anyone.
Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at
the end of each of your arms.
As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands;
one for helping yourself, and the other for helping others

Dr. Doreen Virtue, P.h.D., Spiritual, Clairvoyant Psychologist
Dr. Doreen Virtue (yes, that is her real name) is a spiritual clairvoyant psychologist who holds B.A. M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Counseling Psychology. Dr. Virtue is the author of 22 books on mind-body-spirit issues. Included in this list are such titles as: Healing with the Angels, Divine Guidance, Angel Therapy, The Lightworker's Way and The Yo-Yo Diet Syndrome.

Dr. Virtue is the founder and former director of WomanKind Psychiatric Hospital at Cumberland Hall Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. She was also an administrator at Woodside Women's Hospital in the San Francisco Bay Area. Both all-women psychiatric hospitals specialized in treating women's psychological issues. Dr. Virtue also directed three outpatient psychiatric centers, including an adolescent drug and alcohol abuse center.

As a child, Doreen was a natural clairvoyant, seeing and conversing with what many people call "invisible friends" (which are really angels and deceased loved ones). But this natural gift and ability was little understood by the young Doreen and her family, and was the cause of teasing by her friends. Consequently, Doreen learned to deny her abilities, effectively shutting them down before she was mature enough to fully appreciate them.

But on July 15, 1995, Doreen's personal life and her career, marked by exemplary but conventional success, would be irrevocably altered by an incident that is nothing short of miraculous. Doreen had been ignoring her angels' guidance to become a teacher of mind-body-spirit issues. So, when an angel warned Doreen that her car was going to be stolen on that fateful July afternoon, Doreen ignored him. After all, her habit of arguing with and ignoring the angels was deeply ingrained by then. Despite this, the angel did not abandon

Doreen in her most dire moment - as she was parking, two armed men, intent on a carjacking, brandished weapons and physically accosted the unsuspecting Doreen. The voice spoke to her again - it was loud, distinctly male and it instructed her to scream with all her might. This time she listened, she screamed, and her life was saved by passersby who became alarmed and sent her attackers running.

Dr. Virtue immediately began a daily rigorous practice of receiving and deciphering her Divine Guidance. Simultaneously, she was reexamining her spiritual beliefs, along with her Western psychological beliefs, the end result being twofold: Dr. Virtue was guided to look at psychology from a whole new perspective, and her natural clairvoyance rapidly returned with the same clarity and strength of her childhood experiences.

Dr. Virtue's practice then naturally evolved into "Angel Therapy," in which she combines her skills as a psychologist with her spiritual abilities. Dr. Virtue's belief is simple; everyone is born with some form or forms of psychic abilities - in other words, a sixth sense. This ability, or abilities - like all other God-given abilities, needs to be nurtured and exercised to maximize it's strengths. Dr. Virtue cites over 300 scientific studies from Harvard, Cornell, and other leading universities supporting her beliefs in people's natural psychic abilities and in the power of prayer in healing.

Dr. Virtue currently lectures and gives experiential workshops on spiritual psychological issues worldwide. Doreen's topics include: angel therapy, angel communication, spiritual healing, mediumship, reincarnation, channeling, and other spiritual topics. Many of her students are medical and psychological professionals, including M.D.'s, R.N.'s, psychologists, and social workers.

Dr. Virtue's national media includes: Oprah, CNN, Good Morning America, The View with Barbara Walters, Donny & Marie, Roseanne, and other national programs. National print media includes: Redbook, Woman's Day, and USA Today.
