Tools for Heartful Living

Letting the
Third Eye Serve You

by Jackie Woods
All too often the third eye, or psychic center, is thought of as the window through which the future can be seen. While it is often times used in that way, its everyday use can provide much more support than just periodic "viewings" can. The everyday, every minute, gift that the third eye brings is that of opening your eyes to new and varied ways of expressing who you are.

Each time you step out of your fixed forms that you use to express your various qualities-of-spirit, you allow that quality to expand. Growth is about adding new dimensions to your real self. Therefore, to grow spiritually you must open yourself to the support of your third eye in order for those new dimensions to express.

For example, you may have always expressed kindness by acknowledging people who are going through rough times, either emotionally or physically, by calling or sending cards. While those are both wonderful forms for kindness to express through, you will limit your exploration into the many aspects of the quality of kindness if you never try out new ways of expressing it.

To take the kindness example a step further, let's take a look at kindness being expressed by setting boundaries for your teenager (either your real life child or your inner teen). Just imagine how thrilled you will feel to discover that your kindness can now not only express support through cards and phone calls to people who have had tragedy strike, but can also support by keeping tragedy from striking through the form of boundary setting.

Some people use their quality of completion to do a great job at work. However, at home the bed does not get made and the dishes pile up in the sink. It is sometimes difficult for people to make the leap of seeing that making the bed and doing the dishes is about empowering and expanding the quality of completion in their being. However, that leap is necessary in order to open yourself to the service of the third eye.

The everyday job description for the third eye is to see beyond your present structures to ones that can expand you and make you more. Therefore, using your psychic ability daily to see who you can become, instead of what will be happening to you, increases the powers of your third eye. When you get a psychic reading to hear what your future will be like, it will be based on who you are right now. However, when you personally make use of your third eye, your future is determined by your daily choices. Without the use of the third eye's possibilities you more than likely will be the same ole', same ole' in a year from now.

Start to let the third eye serve you by making room for new and varied ways of expressing your most called upon qualities, or by picking three qualities that you would like to have expanded in your heart's repertoire. Either way all you need to do to call on the third eye's support is to set quietly with your focus on the energy center between your eye brows. Be open to the different options that come up. Choose one and act on it. You don't have to be a fortune teller to use your psychic gifts.

ealer & Spiritual Teacher
Jackie Woods' training in the "metaphysical school of psychic instruction" began with her first moments of life. She was born with a psychic gift, which became the vehicle for her training by three Spirit Guides and several Angels.

In her small Midwest hometown, people looked askance at anything that couldn't be seen, touched, or proven. Her mother gave Jackie good advice by cautioning her not to tell anyone what she "heard" or "saw". Jackie's gift grew until she was mature enough for its unveiling as an adult.

After much resistance on her part, the unveiling of Jackie's gift did happen. She finally surrendered to use her ability to see and work with energy. Jackie began her mission of bringing healing to the planet by lifting unhealthy energy patterns from people's auras, and by instructing them on how to find their heart's truth.

Jackie began her career as a healer and spiritual teacher in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1978. As news traveled that this woman could really change a person's life, people began coming to her in droves. By 1985, she had a three year waiting list. Over the years she has touched and changed the lives of thousands through her courses, seminars, and individual sessions.

In 1998, Jackie moved from Atlanta to Columbus, North Carolina, where she founded the Adawehi (Ah-dah-way-hee) Healing Center. This facility is used to support people in healing all four of their bodies (spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical). Alternative forms of natural healing are offered, such as Awareness Courses, Spiritual Growth Counseling, Energy Work, Deep Tissue Massage, Non-force Chiropractic, Color & Sound Therapy, Meditations, Classes, and Interactive Workshops. Jackie's Awareness Courses are also available via the Internet.

In December 2002, construction was completed on the Adawehi Institute. This 8000 square foot facility allows Jackie to take her teachings to larger audiences and to make available a wider range of healers and teachers.

As an author, Jackie has published two books; Journey to Ultimate Spirituality and Spiritual Energy Cycles; an audio tape, Meditation and Needs; a CD, Four Way Mental Communication and Emotional Sharing, and several magazine and Internet articles. She has been interviewed on television and radio, in Internet chat rooms, and by newspapers.
