Angels, Guides & Loving Spirits:
Angel Blessings

Healing with the
Divine Mother Energy

by Doreen Virtue, Ph.D.
This past weekend, I lectured at the Las Vegas "I Can Do It" Conference. As I was lecturing, I realized that something was different from past lectures. Sure, the audience seemed extra-committed to learning about healing. But there was something more . . . something different about myself!

Then I realized that it was my first time teaching following my experience at Lourdes last month. My husband and I had ventured to the French-Spanish border town of Lourdes to spend time at the miraculous healing well associated with Mother Mary. We witnessed many people instantly transform from a dismal and hopeless outlook, into one of bliss and faith as they walked past the well.

I personally had deep and profound experiences that I'm still processing. As I walked to the well, I felt the energy of thousands of angels all compressed into one small area surrounding the grotto. It was like walking through a waterfall of intensely loving energy. As I walked through the energy waterfall, I felt my heart washed clean of negativity. Old hurt, pain, and fear was steam-cleaned away by the intense Mother Love of Lourdes.

As I gave my workshops in Las Vegas, I realized what was different about me: I felt much more compassionate and loving toward my audience members. Gone was any hint of sarcasm in my jokes, and in its place was this deep commitment to heal. Quite simply, I felt surrounded by and completely committed to the energy of LOVE! My whole experience of teaching was about and for Love, and all other agendas slipped away from my consciousness.

Mother Love had healed me in such a deep way, and I now feel a desire to pass this Mother Love along to others. I don't think that you have to travel to Lourdes to experience healing Mother Love. I think that we all crave this type of unconditional sweetness, this nurturing and healing energy of the Divine Mother.

During my travels through Europe, I had the opportunity to learn more about the history of how we shunned the Divine Mother Goddess from our spiritual practices in the first through the third centuries. As I walked through the Louvre in France, for instance, I was struck by all of the powerful images of feminine power from our past cultures as represented in statues and paintings. And my time in Glastonbury during the Celtic holiday celebrations of Beltaine which traditionally honors the Goddess, taught me that these ancient traditions are still needed today.

Where we'd once recognized a Creator with a feminine and a masculine principle, we collectively kicked out the mother from spirituality and world leadership. We then tried to run the world family with a single father as our God. We turned world leadership over to father figures. My experiences have taught me more than ever that it's time to re-invite the Mother back into our lives. We all need a Mother and a Father to bring balance and harmony back into our world. We need Mother's intuition, wisdom, and we need her healing love.

This isn't about feminism, this is about bringing balance and even survival to our planet. Any sort of imbalance is unhealthy – and that includes too much female energy. In prior times, we may have tried to bring the goddess back with an attitude of blaming men for our troubles. That attitude is both antiquated and disempowering to both sexes. Today, we're learning that many men honor the Goddess and recognize the need for bringing the Mother back into government, spirituality, health care, education, environmentalism, and other aspects of life.

On June 8, the planet Venus will eclipse the sun, a phenomenon that has occurred just four times since the invention of the telescope! This hasn't happened since 1882, and won't occur again until the pivotal year of 2012.
Since ancient times, Venus has represented the Divine Feminine Energy.

Last year, I traveled to Mayan ruins and spent time with Mayan shamen, who taught me about the Mayan connection to the planet Venus. They showed me an ancient ruin with a carving of Venus, which was used as a calendar to measure the years when Venus lined up with the carving. As I sat on the steps of the Chichan Itza pyramid, near the line where the serpent appears every spring equinox, I asked the Mayan goddess, Ixchel for a message about our world. I was shown a clear vision of the planet, Venus, surrounded by coiled purple snakes which seemed to represent the world. Venus was in the center, as a balancing core.

Given that the Mayan calendar completes on 2012, and that this is our next time of Venus transit, the message seems clear: this is an extremely important passage of time. If we collectively invite the Mother back into our spiritual life, she will bring the healing energy to purify our hearts of toxins and negativity.

Now, as we're beginning to understand the urgent need to balance the world's patriarchal predominance with the wisdom and healing grace of the Feminine, Venus is here to ask us the question: ""What do you choose?""

If we choose to balance the world with feminine and masculine principle, then the prophecies of peace of 2012 will come about smoothly and harmoniously. If we continue to choose a purely masculine world leadership, then we will continue the struggle for peace. With Venus eclipsing the Sun (a historical symbol of the masculine for many cultures), June 8 is a powerful time.

I invite you to join me in a call for balance and peace on June 8, 2004. Events are occurring all over the planet on that date, as spiritual healers and teachers are all receiving similar messages about the importance of this planetary event. In Orange County, California at the Goddess Temple, we'll be holding a free-of-charge ceremony and celebration. Men who honor the Goddess are invited to attend. (please see www.goddesstempleoforangecounty.com for more information).

The event begins at 7:30; at 8 pm Pacific Time, we shall pause to let go of any fears about feminine power, and call Her back in to heal and balance us all.

Please join us in consciously choosing to reawaken the Goddess Energy that the world has recognized for eons …… now re-emerging. No matter where you live on the planet, please take a moment either at 8 pm your time, or in our California time zone, to join us in ushering in the healing energy.

Dr. Doreen Virtue, P.h.D., Spiritual, Clairvoyant Psychologist
Dr. Doreen Virtue (yes, that is her real name) is a spiritual clairvoyant psychologist who holds B.A. M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Counseling Psychology. Dr. Virtue is the author of 22 books on mind-body-spirit issues. Included in this list are such titles as: Healing with the Angels, Divine Guidance, Angel Therapy, The Lightworker's Way and The Yo-Yo Diet Syndrome.

Dr. Virtue is the founder and former director of WomanKind Psychiatric Hospital at Cumberland Hall Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. She was also an administrator at Woodside Women's Hospital in the San Francisco Bay Area. Both all-women psychiatric hospitals specialized in treating women's psychological issues. Dr. Virtue also directed three outpatient psychiatric centers, including an adolescent drug and alcohol abuse center.

As a child, Doreen was a natural clairvoyant, seeing and conversing with what many people call "invisible friends" (which are really angels and deceased loved ones). But this natural gift and ability was little understood by the young Doreen and her family, and was the cause of teasing by her friends. Consequently, Doreen learned to deny her abilities, effectively shutting them down before she was mature enough to fully appreciate them.

But on July 15, 1995, Doreen's personal life and her career, marked by exemplary but conventional success, would be irrevocably altered by an incident that is nothing short of miraculous. Doreen had been ignoring her angels' guidance to become a teacher of mind-body-spirit issues. So, when an angel warned Doreen that her car was going to be stolen on that fateful July afternoon, Doreen ignored him. After all, her habit of arguing with and ignoring the angels was deeply ingrained by then. Despite this, the angel did not abandon

Doreen in her most dire moment - as she was parking, two armed men, intent on a carjacking, brandished weapons and physically accosted the unsuspecting Doreen. The voice spoke to her again - it was loud, distinctly male and it instructed her to scream with all her might. This time she listened, she screamed, and her life was saved by passersby who became alarmed and sent her attackers running.

Dr. Virtue immediately began a daily rigorous practice of receiving and deciphering her Divine Guidance. Simultaneously, she was reexamining her spiritual beliefs, along with her Western psychological beliefs, the end result being twofold: Dr. Virtue was guided to look at psychology from a whole new perspective, and her natural clairvoyance rapidly returned with the same clarity and strength of her childhood experiences.

Dr. Virtue's practice then naturally evolved into "Angel Therapy," in which she combines her skills as a psychologist with her spiritual abilities. Dr. Virtue's belief is simple; everyone is born with some form or forms of psychic abilities - in other words, a sixth sense. This ability, or abilities - like all other God-given abilities, needs to be nurtured and exercised to maximize it's strengths. Dr. Virtue cites over 300 scientific studies from Harvard, Cornell, and other leading universities supporting her beliefs in people's natural psychic abilities and in the power of prayer in healing.

Dr. Virtue currently lectures and gives experiential workshops on spiritual psychological issues worldwide. Doreen's topics include: angel therapy, angel communication, spiritual healing, mediumship, reincarnation, channeling, and other spiritual topics. Many of her students are medical and psychological professionals, including M.D.'s, R.N.'s, psychologists, and social workers.

Dr. Virtue's national media includes: Oprah, CNN, Good Morning America, The View with Barbara Walters, Donny & Marie, Roseanne, and other national programs. National print media includes: Redbook, Woman's Day, and USA Today.
