Creating Bridges: Spirituality & Philosophy:
CHOICES: The Art of
Conscious Creation
All You Need is Faith

Dear Readers,
Last month's article on faith generated the following questions. I hope you find my answers helpful.
I welcome all questions and comments. Please send them to: Teri at info@ArtofConsciousCreation.com
Many blessings,
Teri
Dear Teri,
Why is faith so hard to maintain?
Signed,
Sue B.
Dear Sue,
Faith can be difficult to maintain because it is dependent upon your ability to accept things that are not directly connected to your five external senses, things you cannot confirm as "real." Faith is subtle and internal. Webster's Dictionary defines faith as a belief in things unseen, but I will go a step further and say that faith is not only a belief in things you cannot see, but also in things you cannot smell, taste, touch, or hear either. As I said, faith is subtle. For most people faith needs to be nurtured and grow over time. If you want your faith to grow and to be maintained, I recommend that you spend at least ten minutes each morning in meditation or prayer. This way you will renew your faith on a daily basis.
Blessings,
Teri
Dear Teri,
Even though I want to believe that I can consciously create the life I want, it's difficult for me to keep faith in these hard economic times. I worked so hard to save money for my retirement and now it's disappeared. I'm losing hope that things will get better. To make matters worse, so many people are homeless right now that I feel guilty for wanting abundance for myself. Do conscious creation principles work even when the economy is bad?
Signed,
Mary
Dear Mary,
Both faith and conscious creation are about Knowing the Truth. And the Truth is-this is an abundant universe. All spiritual texts, spiritual masters and mystics teach this. It is we humans with our consciousness of fear and lack who get in our own way. We block our abundance by buying into the illusion that this is a finite world and that there is not enough to go around. The only thing finite in this world is our limited vision.
Your belief that you can create the life you want and your fear of "hard economic times" are in conflict, and as such, you will create conflict in your life. What you focus on grows. Focus on fear and you perpetuate the illusion. Focus on abundance and you help to break the illusion.
A quick conscious creation lesson: Everything which "appears" in this world begins as a thought, an intention or a desire in Mind. (Mind refers to the unseen energy force of creation.) You are a creator. Your mind is a part of The Universal Mind. What you think, what you focus on and what you create matters. Another teaching is-Everything "apparent" can be changed. Our visible world is simply an ocean of thought acting upon matter and creating forms. These forms, once created are not permanent. Matter is infinite; thought is infinite. The forms taken by matter are simply momentary expressions of thought. Like the elephant you saw in the clouds, as a child, soon changed to a bird, what you see in your physical world is transitory. Permanence is the illusion. Quit buying into the illusion and turn your thoughts to the creative Truth. There is always enough thought and matter to go around and there is certainly plenty for you, or for any of us to create all that we desire.
Change the world-focus on abundance.
Blessings,
Teri
