Medical Intuition- Tune in to Your Body and Improve Your Health:
The Body Knows -
ask a medical intuitive

Dear Caroline
I am 58 years old, overall in good health but my hair is falling out. Can a medical intuitive help me with this?
Joan P. Twin Falls, ID
Dear Joan,
As a menopausal woman, there are a number of factors to consider regarding hair loss:
Sub-clinical low thyroid.
Poor absorption of nutrition.
Hormone balance.
Sub-clinical low thyroid is something that I see in many people. It appears energetically to me as a soft gray aura or field with an oily quality to it. As soon as I see this quality, I "know" intuitively that the person will have mood and temperature regulation problems, issues with weight and probable thinning hair on the physical level as well as issues with confidence and claiming personal power on the emotional level.
Sub-clinical mean "just inside the normal range" so it can appear normal but perhaps just low enough to cause problems.
Your doctor can recommend a thyroid prescription and there are many supplements available at the health food store. A simple test that you can do is to paint a patch of liquid iodine on the inside of your upper arm. Be sure and wear an old T-shirt - it stains! Watch the patch and see over several hours if the color fades. If so, it may indicate low thyroid - or the body's need for iodine.
After the age of 45, most people that I see do not absorb nutrition well. For many years, we have disrespected our bodies, given away our emotional power, and have bombarded our digestive systems with the same foods day after day. Enzymes become depleted and absorption can be compromised. Glutinous grains and sugar are the worst offenders.
As a medical intuitive, I "see" into small intestines and observe that those wonderful hairy-like structures called "villi" which do all the soaking up of our nutrition are worn down. Little wonder that nails are breaking, eyes are weak and hair can be limp and thin. This is easy to correct - just eliminate glutinous grains like wheat, barley and oats and substitute with 100% rye bread/crackers, rice, quinoa, millet or amaranth. Remember to avoid sugar.
The good news is that villi grow back - they start to grow back in just 3 days! It won't be long before you'll see the difference in your hair and your nails as well as places that you don't see, like your bones and organs. Add in some digestive enzymes and supplementation that includes vitamins, minerals and essential fatty acids.
Hormone balance is an important aspect of pre, peri and post menopause and it is difficult to describe in a short column. I suggest seeking help with a local practitioner who specializes in balancing hormones naturally.
On a higher metaphysical level, the hair represents the crown. Take a look at your confidence level. Is there someone in your life who is not validating you - who breaks you down and destroys your confidence? Keep affirming that you believe in yourself and surround yourself with people who support that belief.
Dear Caroline,
I have a 3 year old son who is a real problem. He can't seem to sit still. He scratches himself all the time, yet he has no rash. He is whiny and irritable and no amount of talking to him helps - he's like a flea on a hot brick - constantly in a state of motion and agitation. I'm exhausted. Can a medical intuitive shed light on this problem?
Diane S. Sun Valley ID
Dear Diane,
My first thought is that you son probably has parasites. He may have picked them up from a pet or from coming in contact with another child who carries them. Pinworms are the most common. Check his stool for little white specks - that move. Then ask for an over the counter preparation for pinworms or ask at the health food store for an herb that eradicates parasites and pinworms. Be sure to use a dose suitable for a young child. You may need to mask the taste of the herb in food.
Then look at your child's diet and reduce the amount of sugar, milk products and food dyes he is consuming. Yeasts and parasites thrive on sugar. I see children calm down almost overnight when parents reduce sugary cereals and snacks. When children are sensitive to milk they can be irritable and whiny and have difficulty concentrating. Food dyes as well as other chemicals and additives can have a dramatic affect on some sensitive children.
Many children are labeled behavior problems when there are several simple strategies that can be implemented to help them.
Talking to a child, taking "time out" and other disciplinary measures are only partial solutions. I suggest you go deeper than that with a simple method I call "Sleep Talking" ® - talking to your child while he goes to sleep. This simple relaxation technique came to me many years ago while comforting my own child at bedtime. The soothing loving voice of a parent, using repetitive hypnotic phrases works on the deep subconscious. You will be surprised at the change in your child's behavior in just a few days of "Sleep Talking" at bedtime.
Parasites have interesting connotations on an emotional and spiritual level as well. Check to see what is "preying" on you child at a deep subconscious level. Parasites feed or take from the vulnerable. Do all that you can to strengthen your child's self esteem within your family dynamic and with his peers. Has there been a change in the family - a new baby or change in your personal relationship or career that could be contributing to his vulnerability? Look at your own behavior and evaluate where your child could be acting out your own repressed feelings.
