Peaceful Holiday Gatherings
A Purple Carnation
|

In North America, where it's traditional to dine on a Thanksgiving turkey dinner, this week gives us another opportunity to experience peace. Traditionally, it's a time of coming together with family and friends. And next month, people around the globe will gather with friends and family for holiday meals and gatherings.
You can create a wonderfully healing and harmonious family meal by infusing the food and beverages with your intentions. As you prepare the meal (or as you sit down to eat the meal, if you didn't prepare it yourself), imagine beautiful white light going into all of the food. Set the intention that with each bite, everyone at the table becomes even more loving, peaceful, and forgiving. Food and beverages respond to energy and intention-setting, and you will notice a huge positive difference from this practice.
Also call upon the Archangel Raguel, who is the angel that helps to bring peace, harmony, and healings in relationships. Mentally call upon him before family gatherings, or if negative energy erupts during your time together. Raguel will soothe hurt feelings, and create an atmosphere of forgiveness and appreciation.
You can also call upon Archangel Raphael to help reduce or eliminate addictive behaviors, as another way to keep the gathering's energy pure and light. And those who are traveling during the holiday season should invite Archangel Raphael and the ascended master Ganesh along as traveling companions. They insure a smooth ride. For extra traveling safety and protection, call upon Archangel Michael. And if any hotel or airline reservations go awry, ask the goddess, Kali (pronounced, Call-ee) to make things right. The archangels and ascended masters are very happy to bring peace to your holiday gatherings.
Another way to insure family harmony at holiday meals is by serving foods with high life-force energy. This means organic fruits and vegetables. After all, pesticides are created with the intention of killing which is an energy you don't want at a family meal.
If you serve meat such as turkey, please do some research and purchase only humanely raised turkeys. Sadly, turkeys aren't covered by the U.S. humane slaughtering laws, and they're often victim to companies only interested in profits. Also shocking is the fact that some ranchers are calling their turkeys, "free-range" because they can charge more money for them. But the turkeys received just as cruel treatments as factory-farmed turkeys. You can do a Google search using the terms, "free-range" and "turkey" to find out more. One website, www.localharvest.org, seems to have access to humanely treated turkeys.
Alternatively, there are wonderful turkey substitutes for sale at health food stores such as Wild Oats and Whole Foods or through www.tofurky.com
Here's a website filled with yummy vegan holiday recipes:

Each moment, we lightworkers and indigos have the opportunity to create and experience more peace in the world. May this upcoming holiday season bring family and friends together in the name of peace. The angels say, "World peace begins at home."
Angel Photos
Many of you have given Doreen Virtue photos with angel orbs, shapes, and clouds. She has such a wonderful collection of these photos that Hay House has decided to publish them in a new book called, "Angel Photos." Since we announced this call for photo submissions last month, many of you have mailed amazing angel orb and angel shape photos to Doreen. She sincerely thanks you and we will mail an acknowledgment and information letter to you in December.
Would you like your photo, and the story surrounding the photo, to be included in the book? Here's how to submit your photo and story:
Send a clear photo and/or c.d. with a photo of an angel shape in a cloud or other object; or orbs of light; AND a one or two page story about what was happening when the photo was taken AND a signed paper that says the following, "I hereby give permission to Doreen Virtue, Angel Therapy, and Hay House Publishers to use my name, photograph, and photographic likeness in the book, Angel Photos." Print the name of each person who appears in the photo, and make sure that they each sign a paper with the statement above, giving permission to include their likeness in the book.
Send the photos, signed releases, and accompanying story about the photo to: Angel Therapy, Inc., Attn: Angel Photos, P.O. Box 217, Laguna Beach, CA 92652 USA.
Angel Parties
Here's a wonderful new holiday party idea: throw an Angel Party! Angel Therapy Practitioners (ATP's) and Angel Intuitives (AI's) around the world will come to your home and give angel readings to you and your friends. (You receive a free reading for hosting the party). To find an ATP or AI in your area, please visit www.angelcsc.com
A Purple Carnation
There's an old joke that goes:
Q: What would you have if everyone in the country drove a purple car?
A: A purple car-nation
I was reminded of this last week while watching the returns of the U.S. Presidential Election. I won't rehash the sentiments that we've been feeling and expressing since then. However, I keep thinking about those blue and red states and how they illustrate the divisiveness of this election.
What if we heal this divided red versus blue situation? After all, doesn't everyone want peace and safety for the world? It's just that there's a disagreement about how to achieve this goal. What if red and blue worked together, and blended into the high-vibrating and beautiful color of PURPLE? When you mix red with blue, you get purple.
Lightworkers and Indigos are called to usher in harmony, first by modeling peacefulness. Now's the time to take steps that support your peaceful demeanor and outlook, such as meditation, yoga, time in nature, connecting with friends, a healthful diet, exercise, rest, and so forth.
When you are peaceful, others are attracted to your light and calmness. They feel better by being in your presence. They'll probably ask you to teach them your secrets, and this is your opportunity to teach about spirituality to a receptive student.
Indigos are here to be peaceful warriors. The anger that they feel about global and social issues is what fuels them to become leaders. We, as their elders (lightworkers) must mentor Indigos and show them how to channel this anger in constructive ways. Help Indigos learn how to break big goals into small, achievable steps. Show Indigos how to organize their time, and how to finish what they started. In this way, Indigos and Lightworkers team up in a powerful way the Indigos with their pure faith, belief, and high energy; and the Lightworkers with their worldly experience.
I hold a vision of a purple nation, and a purple world. A world vibrating at the high level of love and harmony. I truly believe that peace is possible in our lifetime, and that our collective purposes (as Lightworkers and Indigos) is to usher in this peace.
Begin with inner peace. Take the time necessary to center yourself before doing anything, especially activities where you're interacting with other people. A few deep breaths, a prayer, and calling on the angels, is a wonderful way to regain your centeredness.
Many of you are sending prayers and healing light into the world, and we must continue this important practice. Surround the world with white light each night as you fall asleep, and the world is continuously blanketed in light through all of the time zones.
When we say or think negative things about people with differing political viewpoints, we add to the world's negativity. There's a way to bring about change while staying centered, peaceful, and loving. Ghandi, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and Saint Mother Teresa modeled this for us. They simply held crystal clear ideas of their goals. With love, courage, and conviction, they took steady action in the direction of their goals. You can do the same!
The U.S. Presidential election created a polarized environment. It also created a Polar-ized effect, in that it brought coldness to the world. We as lightworkers and indigos can melt the Polar-ization and warm up seemingly divided populations. Our warm love and light can melt the red and blue polarity. We're here on earth to bring unity to the planet. Our purple planet.

Dr. Doreen Virtue, P.h.D., Spiritual, Clairvoyant Psychologist
|
 |
Dr. Doreen Virtue (yes, that is her real name) is a spiritual clairvoyant psychologist who holds B.A. M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Counseling Psychology. Dr. Virtue is the author of 22 books on mind-body-spirit issues. Included in this list are such titles as: Healing with the Angels, Divine Guidance, Angel Therapy, The Lightworker's Way and The Yo-Yo Diet Syndrome.
Dr. Virtue is the founder and former director of WomanKind Psychiatric Hospital at Cumberland Hall Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. She was also an administrator at Woodside Women's Hospital in the San Francisco Bay Area. Both all-women psychiatric hospitals specialized in treating women's psychological issues. Dr. Virtue also directed three outpatient psychiatric centers, including an adolescent drug and alcohol abuse center.
As a child, Doreen was a natural clairvoyant, seeing and conversing with what many people call "invisible friends" (which are really angels and deceased loved ones). But this natural gift and ability was little understood by the young Doreen and her family, and was the cause of teasing by her friends. Consequently, Doreen learned to deny her abilities, effectively shutting them down before she was mature enough to fully appreciate them.
But on July 15, 1995, Doreen's personal life and her career, marked by exemplary but conventional success, would be irrevocably altered by an incident that is nothing short of miraculous. Doreen had been ignoring her angels' guidance to become a teacher of mind-body-spirit issues. So, when an angel warned Doreen that her car was going to be stolen on that fateful July afternoon, Doreen ignored him. After all, her habit of arguing with and ignoring the angels was deeply ingrained by then. Despite this, the angel did not abandon
Doreen in her most dire moment - as she was parking, two armed men, intent on a carjacking, brandished weapons and physically accosted the unsuspecting Doreen. The voice spoke to her again - it was loud, distinctly male and it instructed her to scream with all her might. This time she listened, she screamed, and her life was saved by passersby who became alarmed and sent her attackers running.
Dr. Virtue immediately began a daily rigorous practice of receiving and deciphering her Divine Guidance. Simultaneously, she was reexamining her spiritual beliefs, along with her Western psychological beliefs, the end result being twofold: Dr. Virtue was guided to look at psychology from a whole new perspective, and her natural clairvoyance rapidly returned with the same clarity and strength of her childhood experiences.
Dr. Virtue's practice then naturally evolved into "Angel Therapy," in which she combines her skills as a psychologist with her spiritual abilities. Dr. Virtue's belief is simple; everyone is born with some form or forms of psychic abilities - in other words, a sixth sense. This ability, or abilities - like all other God-given abilities, needs to be nurtured and exercised to maximize it's strengths. Dr. Virtue cites over 300 scientific studies from Harvard, Cornell, and other leading universities supporting her beliefs in people's natural psychic abilities and in the power of prayer in healing.
Dr. Virtue currently lectures and gives experiential workshops on spiritual psychological issues worldwide. Doreen's topics include: angel therapy, angel communication, spiritual healing, mediumship, reincarnation, channeling, and other spiritual topics. Many of her students are medical and psychological professionals, including M.D.'s, R.N.'s, psychologists, and social workers.
Dr. Virtue's national media includes: Oprah, CNN, Good Morning America, The View with Barbara Walters, Donny & Marie, Roseanne, and other national programs. National print media includes: Redbook, Woman's Day, and USA Today.
