Astrology Notes: Astrology, Healing and the Evolution of Consciousness

Chapter 1 ~ Meeting Chiron
(The story of my introduction to Chiron, Planet of Healing and the beginning of a decade-long journey of Healing and self-discovery and of becoming an emissary for Chiron.)

Living Contact
Another result of this meeting/initiation [with Healer/psychic/channeler, Rickie] was the spontaneous conscious Connection to the living consciousnesses of various species of plants, flowers, trees and the natural elements. In short, I began receiving guidance from the 'angels' or 'devas' of the world of Nature. These devas are the conscious co-Creators of the patterns of every diverse living species in the Universe. They hold the patterns of creation handed down to them from 'on high', holding these patterns until they become manifest in the world as we know it. They are servants of the Creation, filled with Light and Love. They can be Contacted and can give us higher guidance. The guidance, for me, came in the form of poems and consciously 'channeled' messages that I diligently typed into my hand-held computer over a period of a year.
Incidentally, during the early stages of this period of devic Contact, I was synchronistically introduced to the work of biologist, Rupert Sheldrake. Sheldrake expounds a theory of morphic resonance. Morphic resonance represents a theoretical scientific basis for what I have referred to as devas or angels. In Sheldrake's view, morphogenetic fields are the non-physical organizing forces behind every living species, evolving in parallel with the evolution of the species themselves, spanning time and space in a non-local way. We will discuss fields, time, space and non-locality in relation to Chiron in Book Three.
It became clear to me, close to the outset of this intense period of devic Contact, that one particular higher consciousness or Being was helping me in my Healing, reconnection and, more specifically, in putting together my journal of poems and angelic messages. This archetypal consciousness, I felt, had taken me on as a kind of foster son for that period of time. The ancient Greeks personified it as the god, Apollo. Apollo, in the Greek tradition, was the god of the Sun, of music, poetry, prophecy, light and Healing, although I didn't know all of this at the time. The following poem was the fifth poem of this journal:
When I was a child,
when the world was full of Gods and Magic,
Poetry and Music came easily . . .
. . . I knew not that I conversed
with the Gods.
The world and my Ego sealed away the Truth
and my Soul went into hibernation.
I've walked a Dark Passage,
to Wake my Soul
from its heavy Slumber . . .
. . . I've asked for help
and the Gods have responded.
This morning,
Apollo laughed at me, with me,
for my Blindness;
Laughter that was filled with
so much Joy and Love.
"Come on then . . . let's Play!"
And I felt again as a Child,
and the World was again
a Miracle of Creation . . .
It was only at the time of writing this current series of books, many years later, that I discovered that Chiron, in the Greek myth, was the foster son of Apollo. (I must have missed this point in Reinhart's book, not being particularly interested in mythology at the time!) Apollo took Chiron under his wing after Chiron was abandoned by his mother, the sea nymph, Philyra. Recently, I have traced the beginning of my own Healing journey back to a perception of abandonment by my mother as a baby and small child. We will explore the illusion of abandonment in greater detail later in this series. Who better to introduce me to Chiron and initiate me into Chironic experience than Apollo?
The confirmations and coincidences that took place during this period with respect to the poems and angelic messages are too numerous to mention here, so I will mention just two.
Firstly, during the typing of these poems and transmissions, which took place 'on the fly', often a word or two would come up on the screen in capital letters as I typed and then the typing would continue in lower case again. There was no way that I had accidentally pressed the Caps Lock key because this process would start and stop by itself and happened numerous times. The words that ended up in capitals in this way were always words of deep import and meaning, bringing alive the whole context of the message being conveyed. This did not occur before this time and has not occurred since. I believe that this was the devas' way of saying to me, "Here we are! You are not merely imagining all of this!"
The second confirmation was one of many that took place in a similar way. I was receiving a poem/transmission from the deva of the mountain paperflower at the time. My office was at the end of a long house with a window overlooking an embankment. These yellow paper-flowers were growing wild along this embankment. As I looked at them and sensed their wonderful Healing yellow color, I began to receive their message, which I then proceeded to type into my hand-held computer. While I was typing this, my eight-year-old daughter and her friend were playing outside around this embankment. I had paused from my typing for a moment when I heard my daughter entering the room from behind me. She had walked all the way around the long house to enter the front door and all the way through the house to get to my office. She was carrying one of these yellow paper-flowers. She came straight up to me, giving me the flower, saying, "This is for you, daddy." She ran off and went back to playing with her friend. I was overwhelmed by the sense of confirmation and love behind the incident. The devas were saying to me once more that this was real, not imaginary. There were many other experiences like this one.
