Transformational Healing
through the Violet Flame!

Today: What does
“PURPOSE” really mean??

by Eva Kettles
Dear Reader, Dear Writer!
Hello to everyone in The Meta Arts!

To prepare the following column is anything but easy for me this time. My spiritual guidance has given me the subject “Purpose” to write about. A few weeks ago it wouldn’t have been so difficult. For a very long time I thought I knew exactly what "purpose" meant to me and how I would define it. But today – I don’t know what to write.

I had been very happy with the thought that I knew what my purpose was and that I was sure that I was working in alignment with the divine. I am not unhappy now, I am just confused that I don’t know how to describe what I want to describe. Do I really not know what to say or do I just think I don’t? Well, we will find out soon, because at this point I really don’t know yet, because I haven’t tried it! This 4th Article of mine is coming from a very different but important view point, so please don’t read ahead. To know if you can do something – you have to try it! To know if I can figure it out, I have to try it. Okay, let’s do it; here we go!

I’ve always thought that my life has purpose, because I spend my time doing something meaningful, at least in my eyes. I thought that helping people find a way back to themselves was meaningful enough to call it that. I would like to start right here to examine what I just said. Life has to be meaningful to feel fulfilling! I believe many people (if not everyone on this planet) feel the need to find ‘meaning in life’. But not everyone feels that what he or she does is meaningful. Or is that only because we don’t look deeper? I feel that a lot of it has to do with our judgment about it. How do we choose what we do? Are we doing what we do for others or for ourselves? Do we want our “purpose” to get recognition in Society? Or do we want to accept ourselves for what we do? I think both sides play a part here. Everyone has a story about how they came to do what they are “doing” now.

In my case I wanted to be a fashion designer at first. But my father didn’t like my choice and wouldn’t let me study fashion. Instead he sent me to business school. Even though I did well, it didn’t interest me very much. When I became an adult, I could decide what I wanted to study and so I went to a holistic medicine school. What I do today, however, I didn’t learn there, but from then on my path was just directed by “coincidences”, one after another. Since I don’t believe in coincidences I thought everything that happened was meant to be and actually I did not really think about it too much. I loved what I was able to achieve and I still do. To make people feel better was a wonderful turn out. But next to my work as a holistic medicine practitioner in Germany I had to waitress and to sell computer mouse pads because I still believed that a spiritual person shouldn’t take money for the gift or talent. Lots to think about here…..

It was in New York where my mindset changed. My wonderful husband gave me something to think about. He said: Why have you been given this talent, if not also for the purpose to earn your living with it??? I was shocked. He had a point there – every singer, painter, or whatever tries to use their talent to make money but a spiritual working person shouldn’t! I began to examine the energy flow in my life. Money was definitely not a part of it. I needed to change my mindset about myself. I had to feel worthy of the gift of money and learn to like being paid for what I was offering.

I had to see that what I was doing had to be good in both ways. The person needed to be helped, but myself too. Both sides need to be a winner. Of course I was a winner in the way of being satisfied with my achievements and my inner conviction that what I was offering really is working, but if you need to go then for another 20-40 hours a week to do something else, mainly very exhausting, then something is not in divine order here. Or is that again only my interpretation??? It was in divine order, because it happened. Everything is perfect as it is. I got to learn many other things and got to meet people through many very different doorways which would change my perception of the whole.

And there is a time for everything. It is just the question of how many years do we have to stay in one place until we really know it?

It is definitely not about earning money either! Because how many people are so wealthy and successful in what they do and yet are still not satisfied and may not even feel they live in alignment with any real purpose? So what is it all about, here?

My personal conclusion is the following:

I think that everything is changing, ultimately we can’t keep what we have been doing, we climb the next step of the never ending ladder. Our problem is that we are trying to give ourselves a title: “I am a transformational healer” or “ I am a fashion designer.” But are we not much more than both? Preferably I could call myself “a transformational healer” in the body of a “fashion designer” who is also a “writer”.

Ultimately it doesn’t matter what we are or what we are doing, or even what we call ourselves. It is all about how we do it! Is the work that we do bringing happiness, laughter and joy? Are we able to pay our bills and be present? That of course is important, because if we can’t pay our bills it is a bit harder to spread laughter and joy. Our mind is in this case preoccupied and not free. But in general it all starts in the mind. If the giving and taking is not in harmony we have to find the blockage in ourselves or around us. What mindsets have we swallowed and never let go of? Do we feel worthy of better conditions in our life? Do I do what I am talented in? Or do I do something that someone else wants me to do?

I witnessed my own process and also the process of many other spiritual “purpose- committed” people these past few weeks. I think I feel that the more we get to our core, the more the form of our expression of our purpose changes. We take on new paths and we show more facets of our being. The forms change on the outside because we become free, free to express all that we can be and free of our self sabotage. To live our purpose doesn’t mean to do one thing. For the longest time I judged my profession – asking myself if it would be meaningful enough – enough for my father or people in the society. I couldn’t allow myself to be a model. Oh my god, what would people think of a blond tall girl? Of course – she has nothing in her head, so that’s all she can do!

Now I realize, that it doesn’t matter what we choose to be for a certain time. That what we do is just a very little part of what we really are! Every job, position or profession – whatever you like to call it - is of the same importance as long as we are happy in what we do and therefore are able to be in love with the job, position or profession, with ourselves and the rest of the world.

I don’t need to be a teacher anymore –but I can be it, if it is asked of me!

I don’t need to heal – but I can be it, if the universe sends someone my way!

I don’t need to write – but I can, as long as I have fun with it!

Sometime ago I thought I needed to do what my talent asks of me. Of course we somehow want to do what we do best – because we get complimented in our work and we love appreciation. But everyone has more than one talent! So check it all out! You might go through periods and your talents might vary between a boxer, a singer and a cowboy – who cares?

The further we go down the road the clearer it becomes how little we know. We manifest and form faster, but we also let go faster. Our consciousness gets “play-fuller”, it is infinitely connected to ideas of spirit. And spirit might give you all kinds of ideas! Spirit changes continuously – so we have to change continuously and accept more possibilities than only one particular thing for life. Give in – let yourself flow in the divine mystery of expression!

Yeah, we made it! As you see – today we have no release. I think everyone knows by now how to access his or her own mindsets which hinder you to accept yourself in what you do. You can release your own findings in the same manner shown in the first 3 articles. (I have given you a lot of questions to ask yourself along the way for help!)

I interpret this column more as the preparation for “radical self acceptance”, which will follow in my next article. Namaste with love! Eva

Eva Kettles is a spiritual channel, and guide who offers a sensitive, confidential, non-intrusive, results-oriented approach of clearing the pathway to becoming your True Self….consciously uncovering your Divine Essence.

Mrs. Kettles acts as a “loving detective” to give you clear guidance to your life questions. Working with the healing energy of the Violet Flame, Eva will transform your blocks in all the dimensions that make up your entire being so you can live according to your divine plan and purpose. Release deep seated fears, thought patterns and beliefs that keep you from expressing your authentic self.

Through a process of forgiveness and with the loving presence and help of our spirit guides, Eva enables healing to take place in mind, body, heart and soul. Eva offers individual guidance, fertility counseling, premarital guidance, couples coaching, space clearing and prayer/blessings.

Eva was born and raised in Germany. After finishing business school in Switzerland she discovered her ‘real’ passion for the eternal questions of Life that everybody has, but to which few people discover the answers.

To that end, she decided to become a holistic practitioner. During this education she got a wide background in all available alternative therapy disciplines.

Towards the end of her studies she decided to specialize in Bio-photonic Light Therapy (by Darbic, Dr. Acquillera, France), Frequency/Electrotherapy (Megawave 150), Color puncture, Regenaplex Cellular Therapy (Switzerland), Karma work, Hypnosis and Forgiveness work and opened her own practice first in Munich, than another one in Lucerne, Switzerland. Later, she established a healthy practice in New York City before moving to Ojai, California in March of 2004.

Eva was the protégé of Dr. Gutow in Germany. . He dedicated his whole life to finding out the reasons behind all illnesses. He took into account food, drinks, toxic surroundings or materials, homeopathic remedies in too high frequencies, astral positions, divine paths, karmic constellations, spells, entities and energies that block our good to come forth.

Dr. Gutow could access the highest self or spiritual guidance of each person and discovered that Eva had the ability to do the same work that he was doing. Using the analytical test that was developed by Dr. Gutow, Eva could immediately find out which therapy would work for which client. She explains: “It is like a key and a lock. We have to find the right key to unlock our good. Some keys work, some don’t!”

Having been blessed with many teachers, including Nadeen Shatyam , she learned that once you trust your inner voice you become connected to the universal truth and you do not need to look outside of yourself.

Everything is within us when we finally learn to believe it. Her goal is to help you to find and establish that trust in yourself.
Having walked the path to self return, she knows how to guide others.
