Decision Making for a New You!
Hello and a blessed December to you. This month is an exciting month in numerology. I enjoy following numerology because everything in life and the universe is somehow related to different cycles of time and everything is in perpetual motion. December resonated to the numeral ‘one’. Which means new beginnings. Now would be a great time to reflect on the year that is quickly leaving, your accomplishments, the goals that you attained, and also the ones that are still ahead of you. Do not beat yourself up if you did not accomplish a certain task. THIS month is all about starting things anew. ‘One’ means to start off fresh and letting go of the past. So many people know they have to make new choices, move on and tie up loose ends, and also deal with leaving some people and relationships behind. We all want to move forward in this life, but somehow you may have a difficult time simply - making a decision. A decision you know is needed and required for your soul to take its next step in its learning.
Making decisions does not necessarily come natural to everyone. We live in a world where it’s easy to get someone else to make them for us. Of course, there are some decisions that I’ll leave to the experts I’m not referring to those. There are so many that we’re capable of making for ourselves, by tapping into our inner guidance. When you make a decision based on intuition, you’ll find that you trust “the feeling”. When this happens for the first time, it’s like a turning point, and from that moment on, your confidence will build and you won’t look back!
I remember a time not too long ago, when I was about to give a demonstration. The organizers were expecting a large audience. Several days before, I kept getting a nagging feeling to call them and make sure that everything was okay, and to check that they had all the sound equipment for the evening. Instead, my rational mind kicked in, and said, “No John, they’re professional, they’ve done this hundreds of times before, let it go.” Even though I’m a psychic medium, I don’t always pay attention to everything I feel. Hey, I’m human after all. Of course, this was one of those occasions, when I should have really listened. I arrived to find that they had a broken microphone system, a child’s stool (only 12” inches high) for me to perch on, and no air conditioning on this New England muggy night when the temperature was still 89 degrees. The spotlight had enough light coming from it to light up New York City! I should of have honored and trusted my feelings earlier, and followed through with the decision to call them. By doing so, I could have saved a lot of aggravation for myself, and the staff who rushed around trying to fix everything.
We’re scared of making choices because we’re afraid of the risks, and of the end result, which we’ve often already imagined in our minds. Fear will hold you prisoner if you let it. I know it’s scary to make intuitive psychic decisions, when your logic is dragging you in the opposite direction. It’s not meant to replace logic, but through your psychic strengths and intuition, you’ll be able enhance your logic with all your future decisions and stand a far better chance of success.
Your body knows and will tell you, when you’re following your intuition. You must interpret your own feelings when asking your body if a decision is right or wrong. Some people feel a flutter when a decision is wrong, others feel a tingling sensation all over if they’re on the right path, and some feel nothing when they’re not suppose to move ahead.
I have a friend who uses his own simple technique. When he has to make a decision that he’s not totally sure about, he takes a few moments and imagines a simple street light in front of him. He then asks a question about the decision and watches to see if the light changes. We all know that red means stop, yellow to wait, and green to proceed. It’s really that simple, but he trained himself to rely on this technique to give him guidance in his decision-making. Of course, he’s not really getting the answer from the traffic light, but is using his own personal symbol to tap into his inner guidance. Equally, I know of some people who have trained themselves to imagine a YES in one hand and NO in the other. They ask a question and wait to see what hand rises, whether it’s the yes hand or the no hand.
Sometimes it may not be a simple yes or no. I did a workshop once where the students wrote one question, which would require a yes or no response, and placed it in an envelope. They were then distributed to the students and each one didn’t know whose question they now held in their hands. One student started to use her awareness in the exercise and came up with a definite ‘yes’ but, also saw a swinging bridge that suspended over a deep valley. The student felt that the person whose question was in the envelope could achieve their goal, but it would not be an easy one. They would have to hang on and work through other issues as they continued to move forward toward this desired outcome. The question in the envelope was, “Should I move residence?” The student who asked the question raised her hand and totally agreed and thanked the other student. The new move for her may be great, but what about her feelings toward finding a new job, income, or moving away from her family? Your inner guidance will always try to help you with other issues you may not be considering. Others imagine two roads in front of them, where each road is a choice or decision. In their mind, they walk down each road and notice how they feel. Is it positive or negative, what’s around them and even if the road is rugged or smooth? Is the landscape rich with greenery or is it barren? In the end, it’s about using what works best for you.
Lynn Robinson, a colleague of mine who’s an intuitive business consultant, teaches intuition to Fortune 500 company executives and their employees. Some of these employees had never worked with their intuition, and found it hard to articulate their experience. They had not realized the rich resource of information that could be accessed through their intuition. Lynn teaches them to imagine the decisions and choices in front of them, one by one. In some cases these were: “Should I proceed with this project?” “Is this person right for the job?” “Should I hire more staff, etc.?” Then, they have to ask themselves, “How do I feel about this decision?” and, “If I make this decision, how will I feel about it six months or a year from now?” Like me, Lynn encourages them to notice how their body feels. Does it feel light, heavy or tense? Are there any colors, symbols or words they’re sensing? She makes them write down the words and symbols without thinking about them, before their mind tries to influence the more rational outcome. Once they have committed these initial feelings to paper, they have a new way to look at the information from an intuitive perspective. She finishes up by teaching them how to interpret the information for themselves, and that all their future decisions can be guided for the best positive outcome, if they simply just pause and ask for guidance.
Remember that your abilities are part of you, so use all of yourself when you feel you need a little assistance or divine guidance. You don’t always have to do it alone, or turn over your power to someone else when it comes to making decisions for yourself. Through practice, you’ll learn how to interpret the signs specifically for you. PLEASE begin with small decisions and choices, so you can build up your trust and confidence gradually. Trust and have faith in your inner guidance, a resource that’s always there and waiting for you to ask for guidance, one that wants nothing more than the best for you.
PSYCHIC TIP
Gut Feelings
We all have an inner sense of knowing. It’s that gut feeling. Have you ever met people and have instantly known if you were going to like them or not? Have you had a gut feeling that you didn’t follow, only for it to be proven correct? Next time you’re about to make a decision, stop for a moment and ask yourself, “How do I feel about this decision? Does it feel positive or negative, and why?” By following your intuition, you’ll be guided to make better choices.
Affirmation for the month:
“I remember to pause and ask before I act.”

John Holland is an internationally renowned psychic medium, who has been lecturing, demonstrating and reading for private clients for over 14 years. He is dedicated to an ongoing development of his unique gift and takes his work very seriously. John says, "If I can help people connect with someone on the other side, and bring peace, comfort and perhaps some closure, then I've done my job."
"Mediumship is more than just delivering messages", he says, "it's about the confirmation that once our physical body dies, our 'spirit' lives on, and how the spirits of our relatives, friends and loved ones are still connected to us."
John, author of best selling BORN KNOWING & PSYCHIC NAVIGATOR is keen to promote the difference between being a psychic and a medium. In Psychic Navigator, John teaches the reader the mechanics of their inner awareness in a new way. PN includes many fascinating exercises from Johns popular workshop series, as well as an accompanying meditation CD. John believes that it is essential to understand how to integrate ones psychic abilities, so that they help to guide the reader in all areas of their personal and professional lives, so they truly understand that they ARE spiritual beings with limitless potential.
As for the difference between being a psychic and a medium, a psychic can draw information from your aura, which can provide knowledge about both current and future events, whereas a medium is the conduit between the spirit world and the physical world - the connection, and as John so often calls it - a 'soul to soul connection'.
Using this linking process, spectacular results have been achieved, with clients throughout North America, Canada, Europe, and Australia. He is a regular guest on radio shows across the USA. His story was originally profiled on CBS "Unsolved Mysteries and the success of Born Knowing and Psychic Navigator has enabled him to captivate audiences throughout the world.
Johns public demonstrations provide his audience with a unique glimpse into this fascinating subject, which he delivers with a mix of his distinctive style of humor, together with a sense of pure intensity. As he loves to tell his audiences, they want to talk to you as much as you want to talk to them its crowded up here!
