God has no religion.

All human philosophies - from primitive myths and modern religions to esoteric cosmologies and the elusive Unified Field Theory of modern quantum physics - are attempts at addressing the insistent perpetual conundrum, What's going on here? All religions try to record and codify the "answers," and preserve them for posterity. All are partially correct... and potentially misleading.
The Nihilist sees no meaning at all: life is a chronic affliction cured only by death, and nothing matters. Existentialists find life arbitrary, absurd, and full of tragic irony. To fundamentalists, it's all Good and Evil, temptation, sin, punishment, and a possible salvation some time, somewhere else.
Some religions take this life as a kind of proving grounds for aspirants to a better world, with God's holy proxies administering the entrance exams. Thus, we battle earthly enemies for the promise of a perfect paradise hereafter. Vast lexicons of written laws evolved to direct our course. On the other hand, some religions hold this world to be an illusion, the dream-play of an omnipotent first cause, citing the impermanence and non-substantiality of all things.
Religions are road maps, recorded by high-minded pioneer visionaries, intent on helping you avoid getting lost. Some of their ancient charts are accurate, some unreliable; some are outdated, some timeless. But please don't confuse the map with the territory.
The gift and genius of religion is that it perpetuates hope, faith and practice. The object of our universal aspiration has been conceived throughout the ages in a variety of ways. Salvation. Godhead. Nirvana. Buddha Mind. Absorption. Illumination. It is not a belief, but rather an experience, a realization, and the point of all religions: Deliverance. Union. Perfection. Grace. Understanding. Wisdom. Ultimately, the Truth of all religions is One, and there is no disagreement anywhere.
Life is a heroic journey. We are all pilgrims on a soul-quest, and Enlightenment is the Holy Grail we seek. We can stray, trip up, or get lost, but ultimately and inevitably, every soul must somehow come home to the heart of existence, the realization of Who we really are. Then, seeking ceases, and we perceive a reality we somehow must have known was here all along, but which is startling nonetheless.
Science without religion is lame.
Religion without science is blind.
