All I Want For The
Holidays Is A Soul Mate!

Being in private practice as an Intuitive Counselor/Life Coach has provided me many opportunities over the years to listen to what men and women wish they could have in order to complete their lives. Out of the mouths of well-respected, hard working, self-made people, I hear the same refrain, “When will my soul mate arrive?” The spirit within me always cringes a few seconds before a client utters this statement. I always take a full 10 seconds before answering this question since I want my client to really hear what I am about to say to them. Whether it is Christmas, or your fortieth birthday or just any old time, you can only attract what you are...therefore, when can you receive your soul mate? When you decide that you are perfect just the way you are, that your soul can attract, at any level, the right mate for the time and, when you realize that there are many people who can fit the bill of the soul mate. There is never just one soul mate allowed per person. That is an old wives tale that sets dreamers out to pasture, regularly!
There seems to be an expectation about why we receive soul mates. And it is tied somehow to our deserving a true mate or, our ability to be at the right place at the right time or, when God is ready to provide? I am definitely “old school” in thinking that magic within has something to do with magic without - that tie to special ‘someones’ who fit our spiritual/mental/physical approach to life. Yes, I said “someones.” You see, I believe that what we call a soul mate is truly related to the doorway we come from or place of spiritual birth. In other words, if I am from Room 2 of God’s Plan, chances are, if you can envision the face of a clock, that anyone born in Rooms 2, 1 or 3 might be a pretty good match-up for me. But, only those who emanate from my soul room of origin, Room 2, can truly be a soul mate. Someone who is like unto me in spirit! In laymen’s terms, the more alike you are to me, the better chance we have of hooking up tightly over time. God says it more simply, “Like attracts Like.”
“No longer will the fear of being a single person motivate a person’s decisions. Life outside a couple, life without a soul mate; whatever its problems and limitations, will be one that can be lived with love, dignity, respect, purpose, spirituality and joy.”

In the aforementioned quote, Ms. Trimberger seems to be saying that we can have everything we need inside and outside, without ever finding a soul mate? I am not sure that is her final understanding but, I can tell you that I believe a person should want to have it ALL. I have never read in any esoteric or religious text that God has asked any of us to give up what may make our lives more meaningful. In other words, “You there! You get to suffer without the happiness of a soul mate because it will make you stronger or, it is MY WHIM or, you just don’t deserve one!” That isn’t the Divine within you or me talking. It is the voice or voices of doubt, sadness, laziness, old mandated ideas or just plain ignorance within the thinking of humanity’ today.
So, why do we persist in negating, dishonoring and supposing that we can or cannot have a soul mate someday? I don’t truly have one answer for you. I do know that in order for anyone to be your soul mate, they have to see and feel the God within themselves - whatever God means to them, individually. I also have come to believe that you can grow into becoming another person’s soul mate. As you enhance yourself, spiritually, you begin to open more than just one astral door of the divine, right? So, as you begin to see the divine within you more clearly, can you not also see that which shines within others as well? Sometimes when we grow in this way, the theaters of the body and mind begin to play a lesser role for the finicky human and the spirit wins the day. I remember as a child meeting my Aunt Dorothy P., one of the three women who I was named after, for the first time. She was charismatic, full of laughter and fun and quite homely. Her husband was knock-down gorgeous in the way of Mel Gibson in Braveheart! I still can remember the lesson I learned at the precocious age of 8. It really doesn’t matter what you look like. You can always find a playmate or husband or friend.
From that day forward, I knew that the spirit within will prevail if only I believe it to be true. For only God and Aunt Dorothy knew what a cool woman she really is; just as you and God know what a remarkable person you are! But, do you know this inside of yourself? Do you reflect your joy, your happiness and thankfulness every day? Do you value and honor yourself by respecting others as you do yourself? When you look in the mirror, do you see your true beauty/handsomeness and not compare yourself to some sickly, skinny model on the cover of a magazine filled with mans’ vanity? I believe wholeheartedly that our mothers all know the truth. That we are beautiful, wonderful and meant for only good things. How can we apply this standard to our children, knowing it to be true and not apply it to ourselves? Not much esoteric or human reasoning, there?
So, because I know not everyone reading this article thinks that finding a soul mate is easy, I am sending to you a ceremony of passage to perform when you are ready to receive one of your many soul mates from God. For this ceremony, you need a photo of yourself between 3 and 6 years of age, 2 white or gold candles in secure holders, a clear bowl of sweet, perfumed water, a pen, matches and a white piece of paper to go under the bowl and candle. Placing a crystal in the middle of the water is optional.
Fill the bowl with cool water to the 3/4 level and then place the bowl in the middle of the paper after you have written your full name on the center of the page. (If you decide to place a crystal in the water, hold it first against your heart and fill it with the white light of your eternal love for God.) As you place the bowl in the center of the paper, try to get as much of your name under the middle of the bottom of the bowl. Place the two candles on the paper above the bowl in a darkened room. Put your photo between the candles, so it is upright and you can see your eyes in the photo, clearly.
The Festival of Lights, Christmas, Hanukkah, the winter solstice on the 22nd or any of the evenings before Epiphany (January 6th), will serve as a good time for your ceremony. And, remember, we chose to give you this ceremony now because it is historically a gift-giving time but, you can do this ceremony at any other time during your life. That should convince you that the soul mate(s) are available to you, always. Or, when your Life Plan so unfolds following your growth. And that can even be today.
Start the ceremony with an invocation of your choosing. I like to ask for clarity, open my heart to the light and love within and also state that “Thy Will Be Done immediately in the matter at hand.” This is a time for you to commune with your own beauty, love, fullness of Divine Power within and your readiness to carry out a new objective plan to enhance the love in your life. Remember, ceremonies remind us of the magic we have at hand. Make life more ceremonial!
Now, look at your young photo and see all that your “Mom” can see with her eyes and heart of unconditional love. When you know you are one with that love, say aloud, “I am ready to commit to a greater promise of love, now. I want all the opportunities at this time to come forward, so that I may choose to love more people in my life.” I know that I am capable of loving more friends, more family, more mates and I commit to that plan as to all others that are divinely part of me. Give thanks, smile and blow out the candles. When you remember, on a daily basis, light a candle of love and place your photo at the base remembering all that you have brought forward and are expecting to come into manifestation, now. Just a side note...ceremony and invocation become so much greater when they are repeated at holy times. Those times are designated by you, the universe of man and God. I also like to suggest around times of giving that you wrap up your invocation in bright paper after the ceremony and open it on the day of celebration. In other words, open it on Christmas Day, your birthday, Hanukkah or Midsummer for example. Holy is holy because you say so.
So, will you try to remember that you are the soul mate of many and that there are many people on the planet that can fit the bill? Will you also try to understand that a soul mate, spiritually, is another who can radiate the closest vibration to your image of God within? In other words, they have an inner soul so like yours, but never exactly the same, that they can give back to you the sweetness and joy you know is within you. They are near perfect mirrors of God for you at a certain time and place in your life. So, it goes to follow that soul mates may grow and change, just as we do. It could explain the high rates of divorce and discomfort we feel at times in marriages that seemed so perfect a few years ago. Just listen to my words and know that they may be true but, accept only what makes sense to you.
Remember as we celebrate the Festival of Lights, so dear to the Divine, that you and I must be One because we know how special this time is for humanity, for each of us and for God. The Eternal Radiance of Love has never burned as bright in humanity. Do not resist opening your heart and mind to the call of love. In the wonderful words of Kenny Loggins, “This is It! The Waiting is over.”

Dr. Gwen has also volunteered for the American Red Cross, and The Washington Home Hospice of Washington, D.C.
Dr. MacGregor is a regular contributor on radio stations in Washington, DC, Baltimore and Annapolis and has appeared as a guest on the "Art Bell Show." She has also appeared on "Inside Edition," "America's Most Wanted," and the New Age television series, "Strange Universe."
Known for her clear receptionand accurate spirit readings, she is often called upon to assist in locating missing children, and has consulted on Civil Defense Air and Sea Rescue Missions. Her work with angels and spiritual mastery led to a splendid article being written in The Washington Post.
She consults with medical doctors, acupuncturists, psychologists and chiropractors to assist in patient diagnosis. She has been teaching for Prince George's & Howard County, MD, Community Colleges,' Continuing Education Programs for over 10 years as well as conducting ongoing Master's Classes in Ascension Studies.
