Rav Michael Laitman, PhD joins world's prominent scientists, thinkers, and social activists at the 3rd World Spirit Forum in Arosa, Switzlerland.
January 22-25, 2006
This third 2006 WSF World Spirit Forum will bring together the WWC World Wisdom Council (initiated by Club of Budapest) with the first WSYC World Spirit Youth Council (initiated by Children of the Earth) and delegates from spiritual non profit organizations in a meaningful dialogue of preparing for the future.
This Forum will be a three day intensive meeting scheduled for selected visionary young people and world-renowned elders to begin to work on a conscious ethical living-systems approach to the future.
In many ways the WSF World Spirit Forum is part of an emerging evolutionary revolution of consciousness. In its global scope it is a parallel event to the WEF World Economic Forum that is held at nearby Davos at about the same time. Still, being an independent organization - legally and in its philosophy, the WSF is bound to influence the thinking and decision making of political and economic leaders at the WEF and elsewhere towards driving this revolution of consciousness. About the WSF World Spirit Forum
The WSF World Spirit Forum is a non-profit-organisation. Founded as a registered charity based in Zürich, Switzerland, we are in the process of converting the charity into a registered foundation.
The WSF is counselled by an advisory committee in spiritual and technical matters. A small team of mostly volunteers has started the first WSF World Spirit Forum in January 2004. Together with additional experts and volunteers who have joined our team we guarantee a professional preparation and realization of the WSF World Spirit Forum. More

American Author First to Tour India
Albuquerque, NM (January 3, 2006)Sankara Saranam, author of the award-winning book God Without Religion, will make history in January as the first author published in India to launch a full-scale publicity tour of the Indian subcontinent. Saranam will travel the country for three weeks to promote the January release of the Indian edition of God Without Religion, issued by Editions India.
“Sankara Saranam will not only be making publishing history but also recreating the historical journey of India's spiritual genius and reformer, Adi Sankarathe first Sankaracharya, or World Teacher,” says Mohan Nair, publisher of Editions India. “Just as Adi Sankara traveled the length of India from north to south, Saranam’s tour will hit many of India’s major cities, including New Delhi, Calcutta, and Bombay.”
In God Without Religion, hailed as “a spiritual masterpiece,” Saranam, an ascetic and mystic, shows why organized religion has long been the cause of humanity’s worst wars and most acute sufferingthen proposes a path to God through the ancient science of intuition, or looking within. Through a series of penetrating inquiries and practices, he guides us beyond our divisive history into more expansive perceptions capable of creating a unified, peaceful future.
“The message of God Without Religion is of vital importance to the Indian people, many of whom are beginning to question the dubious role of organized religion in their lives,” says Galadriel Frond, Editions India’s editorial director. “We expect the book to be received as a well-argued classic in the realm of religion and spirituality. In India there is a tradition of openness to considering and discussing universal truths.”
The book tour will kick off at the New Delhi World Book Fair on January 28, where the Indian edition of God Without Religion will be officially released. Other highlights include a talk at the Madras Book Club in Chennai and addresses to the followers of the renowned sages Sri Aurobindo in Pondicherry and Sri Ramana Maharishi in Tiruvannamalai.

Robin Rice Releases Latest Novel
Award winning author Robin Rice is releasing her latest novel, Venus for a Day, free on the internet. The novel chronicles the journey of Sydney Wellington, a former business exec living on a boat, who prays to "any God or Goddess listening that today be somehow different than yesterday, and the day before that." To her surprise, the Goddess of Love and Beauty shows up stark naked and ready to prepare her to seduce the Adonis living five boats down.
Much as in Rice's last novel, A Hundred Ways to Sunday (available in Spanish and German) the protagonist journeys towards self-realization is not an easy one. “For Sydney, the task is to uncover her feminine power,” says Rice. “This is a topic women really resonate with. Her focus on her 'thunder thighs' and other physical imperfections, but her real problem goes much deeper. What Venus teaches, by way of hellish tests and trials, is the path to rediscovering authentic passion."
Sydney’s story is really every woman’s story. “We all know a sister, friend or coworker who we see as beautiful and powerful, but that is not what she sees when she looks in the mirror. Reading Venus, which is a healing in and of itself, can change that, even if she only shows up on your bedside table."
Rice's marketing approach is simpleget her books out to as many people as possible by offering the printable Adobe file for free on the web. Rice is taking her cues from Gandhi, who admonished that we all be the change we wish to see in the world.
"To me, this means thinking way outside the current consumer marketing box, which the novel itself suggests the world is in need of,” says Rice. "Although most of us in the U.S. can easily afford a $18.95 sticker price for a printed book, many people around the world are not as fortunate. This model allows a readers to buy a printed copy if they decide they want one, or to make an optional donation if the novel touches them.”
Venus For a Day may be the ultimate girlfriend gift. For those looking for an inexpensive way to appreciate a friend and set them on the path to finding love, the free version is as easy to pass on as sending an email with a link in it.
Rice, a contemporary Shaman, lectures worldwide and has been published since 1984. She lives in Annapolis, MD. Venus For A Day and A Hundred Ways To Sunday can both be found free at http://www.bewhoyouare.com/.
