2006: A New Year

""If we do not know what port we’re steering for, no wind is favorable."
Seneca
"Around the corner there may wait a new road or a secret gate."
J.R.R. Tolkien, Lord of the Rings"
Yet here we are again, facing a new year with positive resolve, a sense of inner awareness and peace between ourselves and the outer world. Sound familiar? As we change into this new year with an "8" vibration, we must begin to make peace with the changing face of the Father God aspect within, as He perfects Himself through our activities and promotes Himself more as the wise Administrator and less as the Commander-in-Chief. This Year of Our Lord, 2006, gives everyone the opportunity to open their eyes to new and varied pathways of success, re-orientation of discipline on all levels of our thinking and asks us to accept deep change in our lives. This is the best we can anticipate of a year adding up to "8." The lesser path will make itself known in time but, let us start our New Year’s Resolutions on a high note, shall we?
The number "8" has the formidable job of being a number as well as a symbol for the eternal spiral or path to infinity. It is conjectured that while it is a Divine Masculine number, it is also seen as the beginning of the differentiation between the actions of the Father and Mother God. In other words, this number denotes a balance of power, the equality of wisdom and positive power between our male and female divine selves and as such, describes the beginning of manifestation at its highest level. This manifestation directly hails from achieving or not achieving a purposeful balance between the body-mind-spirit. All can be gained through balance and setting ones’ sights on bringing together a complete whole, from within.
The building aggression, huge natural disasters and high levels of frailty as concerns illegal or immoral behavior is quite characteristic of the vibration of a year adding up to "7." Remember, these numbers provide a stairway of support or disablement, depending on our righteous behavior. The build-up of chaos and catastrophe can still be converted into creative change, greater self, national and world discipline and promote the successful use of world power if we but, hold tight the reins of our own personal choices. This is a make-it or break-it year for dissolving old bonds of lost revenue, exposing fraud, breaking addictions or negative attitudes and quite generally, opening up the coffers of God to new abundance and personal strength.
Having laid out the framework of the divine power inherent in this changing year, 2006, it is time to set up a new structure of character achievement, write down and invoke new mission statements for personal growth and remember, that all good things begin at the beginning…with the Father God. There is an old joke that goes something like this, "Who came first, the chicken or the egg?" I try this one out on clients all the time. The esoteric answer must always be: The Rooster! The beginning thought, the first push toward achievement and the energy or power to force creativity into action is the work of the Father Element in all things. But, we learn in many esoteric studies that this level of push or creativity, though stemming from chaos and fire, need not manifest that way. This is a "win or lose" year for many who do not understand the natural balance of power within. To lose may be to go back several steps in the life and in the balance of power on Earth. It may not mean total loss but, it means you may not be in place when important doors open and close. For a student of the light, this is a daunting realization.
There is no coincidence that so many reality shows have been created around the accumulation of corporate or worldly power in the past 2 years as we neared 2006. An "8" year heavily influences finances, success or failure and eventually, overall abundance or the ability to hit the top of your game. Watch carefully the fate of corporate moguls, corrupt politicians and immoderate CEOs’ this coming year. The balance of power is shifting into a place of polarization on Earth. In an "8" year, you often see battle between the haves and have-nots, major upheavals in political systems through the work of wise statesmen and the beginning of new sites of great power, not seen before on Earth. The sources of these powers may be divine, may incorporate new world strategists and may produce a saint or two!
We are brought to mind in this changing landscape of a world winding down from a major war. General Eisenhower, in 1943, was already thinking about how to put the world back on its feet after the Allies won WWII. He would call upon his great statesman/warrior, George Marshall, to help put Europe back into harmony with the new future created by the Great Plan and manifested into reality by the United States and its allies. This plan began manifesting on astral levels well before Secretary Marshall set it into motion. He was a great military mind, a humanist, Secretary of State and Churchill credited him with the victory after WWII. In 1953, after performing so many services to humanity, he received Earth’s highest honor…The Nobel Peace Prize. Let us hope and pray that we have a few Marshalls’ across the continents coming forward in this next cycle of man. By the way, Archangel Michael has often been called God’s Marshal. Is there a coincidence here?
Begin this brave new year with a broad sweeping plan to cleanse, heal and forgive yourself your trespasses. Yes, all healing and ascension begins in the same place. A place of charity within. Next, sit down and write up a new affirmation for inner peace, belief in the righteous path and allowing yourself full involvement in your Higher Plan. Not your Mom or Dads’ plan for you! Or what is cool this year! Chart your own path to victory. George Marshall was an honorable man of God because he believed in an innate goodness within all peoples and lands. His concept of law and order was based on a divine truth we call freedom and he knew that meant many things to many people. But most of all, he stayed true to his own beliefs and became stronger for it, found respect and honor in all lands and proved a righteous executive is possible when the world needs a change.
Now is the time for deep change on the face of the planet. Shall we move forwards or backwards? Only 2007 will confirm or deny our attempts to lead ourselves into a brave, new world. Let all of the battling, greed and lack of balance stop shaping your world, NOW. Let the change begin with you. Eisenhower and Marshall were farm boys who came out of the heartland to rescue our world in a time of chaos. We should all pray that their spirits are roaming these mountains and prairies today!
All the best in your climb up your mountain in 2006,
Dr. Gwen MacGregor
