(An Intuitive Decision Making Case Study)

How are decisions made? They are all ultimately made by a feeling - an intuition. These impulses that direct our lives are mysterious forces often arising for no apparent logical reason. Just two weeks ago, I had my work agenda for the near future planned. And then a series of amazing "out of the blue" synchronistic events took place. As a result, I am sitting here with stacks of a renewed book that I once authored, a collection of stones from Big Sur, California; deerskin "medicine" pouches from Humboldt Redwood forest; and a new website www.journeyofwholeness.com (Like I need another website, more stones, more work?).
My practical mind thinks this is all a bit crazy and wonders what am I doing? I am following the signs- a series of powerful synchronicities. Why that? Because synchronicities can catalyze deep intuitive feelings, which in turn can spark inspired action. All good things follow from doing that, even if they turn out differently than expected.
Let me relate the chronology of this unpredicted, surprising turn of events for how an "intuitive" makes decisions, works and lives.
My Little Stone book, which was originally published eight years ago, (and which I have now a few that were reprinted by myself) was ordered on my voyagertarot.com website from Sheila, a person living in Scotland. I sent the book with an actual little stone that was the prototype inspiration for the book. About the same time, a friend of mine, GG, in Washington, DC also got the book, without the stone, though.
Just the other day, I received an email from Sheila saying that she would send me a Scottish "wee" stone in exchange. The very same day I got a call from GG in D.C. who said she had a dream about getting a little stone and that it was "swirling pink and rosy."
A week later, I received the "wee" stone. As I opened the package, wow, wow, wow!!! It was "swirling pink and rosy." GG's dream had become manifest by a "stranger" to her living in Scotland.
All of this got me thinking again (and that can be dangerous) about the power of stones. For time immemorial, stones have been the mother stuff of which our homes, cathedrals and sacred sites have been built. Great messages have been indelibly and enduringly carved and sculpted in stone. Hey, even our home planet earth is a big stone. Stone has power, even a small pebble, and can somehow transcend time and space connecting people and their ideals, values, aesthetics and consciousness.
Fast forward a couple of weeks.... I am in Santa Fe, working at the Kaiser Intuition Institute with a group of healers and intuitives. As we were completing the seven month long study, I asked myself why not use stones and even the Little Stone book as a way of connecting and keeping the flow between all of us who are consciously on the path of wholeness.
I tell one of the students, Deborah, about all of this over breakfast and Voyager cards as we all were getting ready to leave Santa Fe. An hour later, I am led to a sacred ceremony in the tipi at the hotel by Deborah along with a couple of others. We launched our small raft of flowing together to co-create a river of community, wellness and abundance through the sharing of stones and the book.
The next thing I know, Deborah has decided to invest in the project. Wow. But now I need a little pouch for a stone to go with Little Stone the book. On my desk, immediately in front of me, there is a catalogue of shaman products. I look inside and there are these little pouches, perfect for carrying a little stone. I call. They have 75 of them available. They are embossed with a spiral in the middle of a hand, indicating the healing touch. Wow! It's the same hand as is the logo throughout and on the spine of the Little Stone book.
I email my webmeister in Portland, Oregon that I want a new website for people to blog on with their own wisdom story about their journey to wholeness to create an on-going wellness community. The site is up in days. And my web guy is also a partner in a publishing company. They want to publish Little Stone!
So, here I am, writing how synchronicities can change your course of life. As an intuitive living person, though, be prepared to act, move, and create in unpredictable ways. Intuitives are not necessarily seers of the future, but creators of the future, by following the impulse(s) that feel right, that might seem crazy, but that keep hitting you over the head with meaningful "coincidences" (synchronicities).
I call this "2x4 therapy," a kind of "whacky wisdom." You'll know that its wise and for you when the flow of synchronicities keep coming and coming. Synchronicities happen when you are truly in your flow - acting and living with inspiration that comes to you through compelling intuitive feelings.
Believe in synchronicity and make decisions based on it. Transpersonal logic that transcends logic - the intuitive way.
