Power Deck Card:
"We are all pilgrims on the path to the unknown. We sit in awe and wonder at the architecture of power. Ripen the receptive void within you, like a womb accepting a seed. Open yourself to the unknowable, to what is unfamiliar to you, so that the energy of what you need in order to be whole can flow into you. When you think of yourself as an entity separate from power, you will obstruct the current, and power will defeat you. Identify the form of power you want -- what you want to accomplish, build, create, or be -- and become that, so that there is no separating you."
Unknown, Card 1:
The Self Card, at the Center of the Sacred Wheel
The Unknown card of the Power Deck sits at the center of the Sacred Wheel because it represents the essence of who you are as a person. It is a "wild card" because it can become anything that you wish it to be, just as the self can become anything that you can dream.
What a magnificent card for the Power Deck to give us as we approach the Summer Solstice this year, the turning of the seasons from Spring, when we plant our seeds with much care and dedication, to Summer, when they grow to full bloom. Our world is in a great uproar, and yet everywhere the seeds of harmony are beginning to sprout with prayers of hope and love for the birth of a new day, a new consciousness for our beautiful Mother Earth and for all of her children.
As you prepare yourself at this time, take extra care to give away all that no longer serves you. Wrap it around your death prayer arrow and give it away to the universe by burning it symbolically, either in visualization or in an actual ceremony, using this prayer:
Great Spirit, Mother Earth, Powers of the four directions,
My power animal, my allies, my ancestors and all who love me,
Hear me now.
This is a prayer for my act of power. Thank you for being with me.
I honor your presence within my circle, my sacred circle.
This is my death prayer arrow. These are all the things that have
Kept me from my act of power all this long time. These are the things
That I am willing to give away, so that I may accomplish my act of power,
My act of destiny, in this lifetime. With this next year, I will begin. Ho!
Then you wrap your new acts of power, ten things that you are going to do in the coming year to make your act of power a reality, around your life prayer arrow and you give this arrow away to the universe. Plant it with one end in the ground and the other reaching up to the sky, announcing to Great Spirit and the whole world your intentions to live out your sacred dream as you manifest your own beautiful consciousness into the world, using this prayer:
Great Spirit, Mother Earth, Powers of the four directions,
My power animal, my allies, my ancestors and all who love me,
Hear me now.
This is a prayer for my act of power. Thank you for being with me.

This is my life prayer arrow. These are things that I will do
