Divination Systems: Be Your Oracle
Intuition Is Energy
|
|
 |
by James Wanless, Ph.D |
|
|

IIntuition is not usually referred to as an "energetic" way of living, but it is. How is that possible? Well, follow me here. My most recent passion and research is about "self-sustainability" what we can do to energize and re-energize ourselves. Just as in tapping clean renewable sources of energy for our societies, so must we on a personal level. Just like giant propellers that utilize wind, so can we breathe and breathe for energy. As for solar power, simply go outside and absorb the great energy source in the sky. (The American Medical Association recommends that we have a daily intake of two hours of natural daylight... wow). Tap the hydro-electric power of the planet by drinking water and more water. And, of course, eat food for energy, though less is more.
But the greatest source of energy is the life force itself, spirit, the prime mover! It seems intuitively logical to me that accessing this force is the most renewable. How to do that? Follow that which moves you. Do what turns you on! It is our emotion that puts us into motion and keeps us in motion.
Intuition is a feeling, an impulse, an emotion if you will, so consciously living intuitively is an energetic, "emotivated" way of being. Following the feeling is motivating, and motivation is everything when it comes to living whole happy, healthy, holy and wealthy.
The biggest killer of our life, other than entropic repetitiveness ("death by sameness," I say), is being unmotivated. Without motivation we have "unergy," an exponential decrease of our power and aliveness.
The next time you have a decision to make and are unsure and unclear, ask yourself, which direction turns you on the most. It might be "follow the money," or follow the herd, or follow the fun, or follow the meaningful, or, or, or. It makes no difference what moves you, just go with your greatest motivation.
When you are feeling this energy, everything is possible, and you are capable of anything. To create a life of your vision and dreams, your intuitive impulse will do that, for it is the life force, that which has made you and me and everything.
Why don't we always do this? Because we have been educated to think practically and "realistically," which I suggest is a "fear-based" way of living. We simply do not trust the life force. Thus, we live a life based upon the "shoulds" that come handed down to us from eons of seeking security and safety, which in the olden days wasn't a bad strategy, given tigers and bears and rapacious Huns.
When we follow our intuitive feeling, we get into what some call the "flow." The flow is when everything becomes easy, effortless, timeless, and with successful results! You really know that you're in the flow when life becomes full of synchronicities (meaningful "coincidences").
An example of this flow was last month when I was speaking to a local Lions Club about self-sustainability and the idea of bouncing and breathing aerobically on a physio-ball. (By the way, this is my spiritual practice. What could be more of a spiritual discipline than conserving and reviving the very life force, itself... prana, the breath of life). Anyway, the next day, I check out a newstand at the airport on the way to Seattle and on the cover of Newsweek Magazine there's the lead article entitled, "Exercise And The Brain," which is illustrated by a person exercising on a physio-ball. I knew right then and there I was in my flow. Are you in yours?
Back to breathing (I once heard it was good for you). Not only is breathing energizing, but a way of becoming more intuitive, and a better intuitive. How is that? According to my synchronistic Newsweek Magazine and the Harvard medical studies within it, aerobics helps us do so-called "executive functions," such as decision-making, multitasking, and foreseeing. These are all skills and functions that demand intuition. In fact, every study I have ever seen of actual business executives and CEO's declares that the single greatest skill they rely upon is their intuition.
Moreover, not only does aerobics do that, but also makes for a more emotionally balanced person where stress, anxiety, and the blah's are somehow breathed away. Our best intuitive judgments are always a product of being equanimous and in equilibrium. Indeed, stress and other unbalanced qualities make us unclear and we tend to err frequently with our clouded intuition.
I would also add that when we go on our aerobic walk or bounce on the ball, inspiration often happens! Inspiration is high level, highly energized state of intuitiveness which comes from respiration or breathing in the spirit of life, and we are "in spirited."
Not to follow inspiration is a kind of denial of the creative spirit, so obey your master, the life force itself. On a walk half a year ago in a supermarket parking lot, I was inspired. I got the message of getting on the sustainability wave. I volunteered. And I must say that the last two presentations I have done on the subject of "The Principles of Self-Sustainability" have gotten me more and better feedback than any other work in my career. Now, that is a sign!
To really, really make your life a dream, to be your own oracle, let the great mover of life enter you through the sacred breath and heed its call. Flow with the motivation and it will take you cascading down the river of a life fulfilled, fun and fortunate.
