Conscious in an

From the time we were young, for many there has been a fear of the dark. Because what lies in the dark cannot be seen in the usual way and sometimes some of our more fanciful dreams and nightmares seem to become a reality in the dark. Is there a part of you, no matter what your circumstances in life… is there a part that uses self-punishment, self-denial, deservability, not wanting to step outside the zone you’ve set for yourself that restricts the way you consciously move through life.
PATTERNS
When things don’t go our way, rightly or wrongly, there are days when it feels almost like the forces of Nature are against you. During these windows of time, it may feel like you are magnetizing every negative thought, action, perception or experience directly towards yourself. Sounds bleak, doesn’t it and during those periods it surely feels bleak. Because as far as we’ve come on our path, at those times we are feeling put upon, picked on… circumstance or life is against us???
There are those of us who invest a lot of time and energy into terrorizing … or terrifying themselves. This group may also have a tendency to use catastrophic thinking and language, to unconsciously create a lot of drama around themselves, and through the years have become proficient in the art of terrorizing themselves. They may also have developed the ability of accessing this energetic band of terror which they wrap around themselves in a most restrictive way.
Now it needs to be said that this group is not necessarily doing this consciously, and many are doing it from their need to survive. Thinking they are protecting themselves, they have yet to recognize and learn that in fact they are punishing themselves for some unacknowledged, possibly unreal, need that continually presses in upon them driving this circuit and creating this behavioral pattern.
As they become conscious that the circuit exists and that these patterns are fusing the energy and creating havoc, and at the very least, confusion and disarray in their lives, they need to immediately refuse to put any further energy into this circuit and to consciously back away from this line of behavior.
MAKING DECISIONS
What makes the difference to living consciously in an unconscious world?
All good things flow to us but the question is really whether or not we as our own gatekeeper, a job we know well, are allowing it to flow to us. We sometimes have innate behaviours set up long ago acting as our hidden radar system keeping our good at bay or at least at a distance. Something we think we desire, something that is seemingly innocuous… but a part of our selves seems to be determined to delay if not keep it continuously at bay.
Many times we are in denial about this withholding aspect of who we are. Yet this pattern for some continually rears its ugly head. Is it fate? Is it destiny? Or, is it a part of us that for whatever reason feels we are ineligible to truly partake in the good that is being offered to us.
MECHANISMS
Any time we feel directionless or purposeless, understand that this is simply a feeling. You are always direction-forward and purposeful, but sometimes you have chosen at some level to close your eyes metaphorically and go to sleep. It may feel easier to be dormant rather than recognizing your own potential and that you are an active participant in the drama playing out.
Did you realize there are certain mechanisms in each of our lives that can be a call for us to go unconscious? They can take the form of eating, drinking, drugs, sex, reading, watching television… basically anything done to excess which removes you from feeling what you’re feeling. Any activities where you go mindless or checkout, become disconnected from yourself and from the whole. These actions render you unconscious.
Initially, you may find yourself ensnared in this trap but with time you begin to develop an expertise to recognize these ambushes. This awareness will allow you to remove yourself from these situations and become conscious of the patterns that are sidetracking you and keeping you stuck.
FESTIVITIES
It’s time to celebrate. Sometimes there is too much attention placed on what not to do. Frequently all but the most asleep of us have a reasonably good idea of what NOT to do. The real quandry seems to be how to progress, how to elevate, what to do differently. We’re going to try and address some of these points.
What to do differently
It would be very easy to say simply do the opposite of anything you would have thought of doing in the past. The one thing we tend not to remember when we are in that ‘sleeping state’ is that we all come naturally equipped with something called discernment. There are those who have yet to realize that they possess discernment, just as they possess their genetic coding, their DNA, which is a part of you just like breathing. For some it may still be a greatly underutilized tool that they possess.
Wherever you are on the continuum of your development of discernment does not matter; it is the awareness of possessing this ability that will allow you to accelerate your honing of this skill. Even the knowledge that you have discernment becomes an empowering tool.
We may prefer to slip into the groove of being asleep instead of embracing the energy of awakening to our true calling, our true potential, or to our true desires. There will always be a part within you, even if it’s a tiny part, which is aware of the power you hold. Even if you are not fully awake, know that you’re no longer fully asleep.
This is the ultimate attainment we all seek: enlightenment, understanding and freedom. We search endlessly for the key that brings inner peace. At times we may be asleep but at no time are we totally unconscious or unaware of the power within us.

She firmly believes that healing can be immediate, if we are willing for it to happen. She has chosen to concentrate her work on helping others heal: spiritually, emotionally and physically.
A guiding principle of her work is recognizing that we are governed by universal law. These are the basic tenets that we all follow and are the foundation of life.
