“We are all pilgrims on the path to the unknown. We sit in awe and wonder at the architecture of power. Ripen the receptive void within you, like a womb accepting a seed. Open yourself to the unknowable, to what is unfamiliar to you, so that the energy of what you need in order to be whole can flow into you. When you think of yourself as an entity separate from power, you will obstruct the current, and power will defeat you. Identify the form of power you want – what you want to accomplish, build, create, or be – and become that, so that there is no separating you.”

Message from Lynn:
“Tulip bulbs are planted in late fall or early winter, before the grounds freeze. All winter long, the bulbs gestate deep in Mother Earth, dreaming their new life into existence. Then in late winter and early spring, they begin to unfurl their long limbs. New shoots reach up through the soil, to become stalks and stems, leaves and finally beautiful flowers.
In the shamanic way, which is rooted deeply in the cycles of Mother Earth, winter is the time of spiritual hibernation, a time for introspection and self-reflection. Spring is akin to the beginning cycle of life. Now this time of new growth is upon us. Are you ready to stretch your dreams? Do you allow them to peek out from behind the confines of your thoughts in the same way as the tulips have unfurled? It is good to have a dream. What do your new dreams look like to you?
Close your eyes for a moment and dream with me. You are walking through beautiful gardens, perhaps fed by the Nile River. The pyramids are nearby, and the air is sweet with the promise of Spring. A light shimmers in the distance, and you watch it, as it comes closer to you. A woman appears, a very old, wise woman. She holds out her hands to you and takes your hands in hers. You notice that she has wings. She smiles as she lifts you off the ground, and you fly together, over the landscape of blue water, green crops, and golden sand.
She takes you above the largest of the pyramids, and as you look down upon the pyramid, you see the four sides stretching out, becoming four triangular quadrants with a circle in the center.
“This is the Face of the Earth Altar” says the winged woman. “Let’s go down and take a closer look.”
You float down with the wise lady, landing inside the top of the pyramid. Down you go, gently, until you reach the center of a room, like a chapel. At the center is a dais, and you see the raised stone is separated into 4 triangular-shaped quadrants, just like the pyramid when seen from above, with a large crystal set in the center. The winged woman says, “The bottom triangle is your input, what you would like to create. The triangle on the right is your life side, what brings you joy. The triangle on the left is the ‘death’ side; you put here whatever you wish to heal, what you are done with and are letting go, transforming it into new life for you.”
The corners of her eyes crinkle as she continues, “The last triangle, here at the top is the input from the universe. What is it that you wish the universal energy to assist you with in the coming year?”
The winged Lady takes you to all four of the quadrants, you leave an offering at each one. She sets you into the center, at the seat of power, saying, “You are at the center of the Altar. Spring is upon you, the time to let your dreams unfurl as you plant the seeds of your new growth and your intent for the coming year. Ripen the receptive void within you, like a womb accepting a seed. Open yourself to the unknowable, to what is unfamiliar to you, so that the energy of what you need in order to be whole can flow into you. What dreams and acts of power are you ready to manifest?”
You stand still, as you feel a solar wind blow gently over you. After some time, you open your eyes, and you find yourself sitting in the garden, a tulip bud in your hand. What did you dream of? What dreams are you now ready to bring to fruition? The time to nurture and cultivate them is now.
Grandmother gazed at me for some time. “Remember,” she finally said, “that your spirit knows no limits. There are no boundaries to your being. You are part of infinity. In the physical aspect of your life, you are limited. You have commitments. There are rules that restrict you …but you have chosen to be born into the world at this time for a reason. There must be things that you need to learn about the world as it exists today. Perhaps you are trying to learn to be free in your spirit. The more constricted your life is on a physical plane, the more you are going to want to break free of those boundaries and give wings to your being in spirit flight. Experience deep in your soul the different dimensions of reality….”
I studied Grandmother’s face before answering. “Grandmother…when you say those things, deep inside I am moved to tears. Somehow I know that there is truth to what you say. I do not know how I know it, but I do.”
“You know because your destiny has begun to unfold ...," said Grandmother. "It is important for you to see that truth is always the same. Truth is what is. No matter what name you give it, what religion you call it, the truth is that the great beings, the conscious beings that have been on this planet are reflections of the Old One, reflections of God. The religions that are built around them often do not accurately pass on what the great teachers taught. It is important for you to see that truth is the same throughout the ages. It makes no difference what time or place you live in. What matters is that you become enlightened, and that is truly all that matters.” (FromThe Woman of Wyrrd.)
Prayer:
“Great Spirit, as you empower the flowers to the brightness of spring color, I honor my long winter of introspection and bring forth my new beginnings. Mother Earth, I plant my love, my seeds, from the sacred gourd of plenty into your gracious land. I listen for the language of the drums, the symbols of the sacred shields, to enlighten me. I pull back the bow of my being in expectation of my new acts of power. I set the arrow of my intent, as my spirit begins to grow. Thank you for honoring my sacred garden and the seeds that I have imparted to you with my trust and innocence. May I hear the winds of communication from you, Great Spirit, as I walk this great Mother Earth as she awakens in beauty. HO!
