Intuitive Message for the
Virgo Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse:
Serve or Suffer
by Julia Bondi
"Serve or suffer," wrote the late spiritual astrologer Isabel Hickey, is the underlying dictum of the Pisces/Virgo continuum. The Virgo foundation of service is the necessary support for the compassion, inner peace and faith of a divinely inspired Pisces life. As the Age of Pisces nears its completion the wisdom of this message becomes ever more needed if we are to live joyously and productively in our ever more changeable world. We are surrounded by problems that demand solutions, by diversity that necessitates acceptance and understanding and by a global world in search of an encompassing vision.
We have only to look around at our own families and communities to see suffering and to listen to the news to see clearly the vastness of human suffering in our current world. The suffering around us naturally produces inner suffering for each of us as we often feel helpless, hopeless and fearful. Can our personal suffering and the suffering of our global human family be ended or at least ameliorated? The simple answer is yes. Suffering can be healed through service to others which in turn serves our maturing as individuals, advances our spiritual growth, gives added meaning to our lives, genuinely helps relieve the practical and emotional suffering of those we serve and improves the health of our global family. The history and teachings of the prophets, gurus, saints and shamans of all religions and spiritual paths have offered this guidance and the great teachers have always modeled a life of service leading to greater compassion and enlightenment for all. This wisdom is available to us all as it has been for thousands of years.
What is different now? Why has this truth become imperative for us as individuals and humanity to grasp and live? This full moon of Pisces/Virgo is a lunar eclipse which offers us the opportunity to enter the full meaning of the work and healing of the "serve or suffer" message. With the moon in Virgo, the sign of our work, we can more clearly know that our truest work is the shedding of those ideas, beliefs and attitudes we carry in our minds and operate from that cause our suffering. It is this work of the mind, a daily ever finer aligning of our mind and thoughts with what is true, really true, that leads us to serve our highest potential and to serve others in every way. We can live simply, we can be kind, we can help others in small and large ways and we can move beyond our limitations. It is this Virgo work that leads us to know how to live in our unlimited spirit, to feel our divinity moment by moment and to see and serve the soul in others which is the fulfillment of Pisces. Each of us is a part, a necessary and valuable part, of the work of human fulfillment. Our Piscean suffering ends when we elevate our relationship to our Pisces soul to its genuine unlimited divinity. Then we can soulfully live here and now with life and ourselves as we are and know the beauty of the now which inherently invites us to serve that beautiful NOW. This is the truth that Pisces offers beneath the illusion of suffering and separation and this eclipse is a special moment to enter this new awareness and freedom.
