Living With Your Intuitive Child:
A New Method, Intuition, When Raising Your Child

An inspiring method of raising children is influencing our modern views and era. As individuals now seek a means to heal their spirit and planet, many are finding, with rejuvenated hopefulness, a desire to live and raise families using the gift of intuition.
For centuries intuition has been pushed aside from the main stream of thought. Only healers, life-affirming educators and wise women have known the secrets to intuitive methods of living. Today however, the exercise of intuition is flourishing
With the help of contemporary and open-minded leaders intuition as a way of life and a resurfacing means to raise a child. New books are making their way to publishing houses and library shelves and finding their way into the hands of pioneering individuals. And, those ground-breaking individuals are sharing the old, yet newly revived methods of allowing children to look within and know themselves.
A child who learns to use and respect intuition is allowed to experience an inner strength that encourages trust and intrinsic knowledge. The inner voice tells that child that he is good because he exists. And through this inner lesson the child begins to hear and know a life-affirming way of living.
As motivated parents continue to seek life-celebrating methodologies that raise spiritual awareness in the family and individual, children of our planet will begin to thrive in spirituality, giftedness and love and the new philosophy of intuition will continue to emerge. The birth of understanding and compassion will be the results of our labor.
Intuitive children will often posses artistic abilities such as story telling, drawing or fantasy play along with enhanced sensitivity to animals, playmates and siblings. Although an intuitive child is filled with extrasensory devices, he may not always know how to convey these emotions or creative thoughts. But when guided by a wise parent or educator this child will learn to express his intense inner thoughts in an insightful manner.
The reflections of this sensitive child will often be unique and genius in nature far passing the mundane attentions of schoolmates. In addition, although intuitive children are bright often they fall below standard academic norms. Frequently they find themselves to be bored and restless in traditional academic settings. This is one of the most recognized difficulties intuitive children face within our present public educational system.
These children fail to flourish in a traditional setting. They often appear uninterested in the learning process, angry at being misunderstood and overly manipulated, and often these children rebel against the traditional methods of instruction. The intuitive learning processes of these children often go unnoticed and ignored. The sooner the intrinsic learning devices of these children are recognized as valuable the sooner these children learn to become productive members of the society of which they live.
If you have a child who seems bright but unmotivated, you might attempt to motivate your child through the use of intuition. You may have an intuitive child. Allow your child to have personal opinions; expressing these opinions will begin to help your child to feel as if he is valuable in his family and eventually his community. Begin to share with your child other means of education; telling your child that he might be a nontraditional learner will help your child to know that he possesses the ability to learn although he has been unsuccessful in the past. Help your child learn from home. Allow him to play, read, and investigate in ways he chooses. Introduce your child to cooking, wood working, clay works, painting, photography or any other method of creating he may enjoy.
As he begins to utilize these methods and becomes more aware of his own interests introduce new materials and new vocabulary. Begin a vocabulary list filled with words connected with his interests. Place this vocabulary list in a place within the home the whole family uses. Do not force your child to read or study this list. Simply allow his intuition to lead him to the list within his own time.
Continue to make available education materials and continue to add new vocabulary to your list. Now, praise your child's accomplishments. Allow him to see that you appreciate his learning methods. Allow him to see that his own learning methods are valuable. Within time, your child will become more motivated and better educated. Your child will naturally follow his own interests and thrive within the boundaries of those interests.
It is the individual who has followed his own inner voice who becomes most successful in life. He is happy and well adjusted. He enjoys his job, his friends and family. Although the intuitive child is strong willed and often simply refuses to be guided in directions that do not interest him, he hardly ever becomes the unfulfilled adult. As parents we simply have to learn to adjust to our intuitive child and trust that intuition is leading us in the right directions.
