Kristi Huggins, known as Mirabai to the online community, moved to WA State 5 years ago on a "whim". The first person she met was Linda Glendenning, owner of Cove Crystals, who placed the very first crystal in Kristi's hand, thus beginning her love and passion for the crystal community.

My Singing Crystal
Chakra Bowl Adventure

I attended a wonderful event this past month and wanted to share it with you. It has all the earmarks of a wonderful tale-action, adventure, love, excitement, wonder and awe.
There are no villains, no drama (although it was dramatic), no one dies or gets hurt. Instead, everyone present on my adventure is transformed, healed, and finds within themselves an incredible joy. "Wait!" you say. "This has nothing to do with crystals?"
Oh, but it does, in a most remarkable way. Here is my story:
I was invited to attend a wonderful event, hosted by my Jin Shin practitioner Berdie and her husband David. It was called the "Circle of Sound", facilitated by the most humble, unassuming and joyous spirit I have ever met!! Full of energy and love of life, Daniel and his partner An-Ra-Nae led our group of over 20 participants in an afternoon of healing, growing and sharing with music.
Daniel describes his Circle of Sound, "The Circle of Sound is a group of instruments used to make a joyful noise. The intention of the sound generated is to raise the vibration of the Whole. That is, to facilitate and manifest a balancing environment in which whoever and whatever is present can experience Peace and Harmony and Health and Well-being. Our vision is Peace on Earth and Goodwill for all."
We were fortunate to have 9 Quartz Crystal Chakra singing bowls on this day, one carried with Daniel all the way from South America. Each bowl was placed on a chakra colored cloth and laid out in a circle. In the middle of the circle was a blanket and a stuffed pillow in the shape of the earth complete with all the continents and blue water. We were each asked to take a moment and write down what we would like to express as our intent during this healing/sharing/growth event.
As we each took our places at a chosen Crystal Chakra Bowl or a seat outside of the inner ring, Daniel described what he did and what would be accomplished by our gathering in love and joy. He shared with us the following, "When the Circle of Sound is formed in the round, and the instruments are played toward the center, a sound wave is generated composing a 'full spectrum' of frequencies. This is created due to the harmonics of the crystal bowls (sometimes didgeridoos and other instruments also accompany the bowls). This 'full spectrum' of frequencies is the basis of the balancing potential of the Circle of Sound. The circle formed by the instruments and players encloses the area balanced by sound. Those people who enter the circle with a particular intention, prayer, focus or dream will be in a balanced environment conducive to the realization/manifestation of their request. Those areas and/or sacred sites enclosed by the circle will be offered this 'full spectrum' of frequencies in order to be balanced, healed, activated, appeased as needed. The group intention of the Circle of Sound will always be Peace on Earth, Goodwill for all."
As he spoke, his lovely partner, An-Ra-Nae walked the outer edge of the circle, cleansing with incense. She also shared with us the most marvelous Sacred Oil from Mystic Journey Om, where she develops Sacred Oils for the Spiritual Path. We each were given a drop to place where ever we felt it was needed. I placed mine on my third eye and throat.
Once we had all written down our intent, prayer, manifestation--the first person took to the center of the circle. Holding onto the "earth", he stated his name for the group. In turn, the group chanted his name back to him, three times. He then spoke his intention out loud to the group. With the intent being spoken, the nine people sitting at each of the nine chakra singing bowls began to play....ALL of them at once!!! What an amazing sound!
Every person took their turn in the circle and listened while the bowls were played for them and their intent/prayer/manifestation. It was a powerful experience!! Not only being in the middle and sending out your intent on the waves of sound to the Universe, but to also play a bowl and be a part of the circle. I think I must have taken a turn at playing every bowl there--twice!!
If you have never had your name chanted back to you, by 20 plus people, I highly recommend it (*giggle*--I am such a scaredy cat to get in front of people, but I DID IT!! and was so glad that I did!!) It gave me goose bumps!! Then when the bowls began to play, there was nothing else--no voices, no other sounds, no movement--all that was there was me and the amazing singing bowls in their chakra tones, some with overtones, undertones, yet all in perfect harmony for me. It was incredible!!
It was quite interesting to note that the combination of the bowls sounded different for each person, in accordance with their energy vibration and frequency. There was a distinguishable difference. And here is where the crystals come into play.
The field of vibrational healing is just beginning to explore the effects of sound and tone on the human physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies. The quartz singing bowls are one of the greatest tools available to us today in this exciting new healing modality.
The Crystal Chakra Singing bowls, like crystals, carry their own distinct vibration/frequency. The one in the center of the circle, also has his/her own "energy signature" or vibration. When the bowls are played, not only the person in the middle of the circle has their vibration raised, but also the nine people who played the bowls, as well as those who were observing. Those sounds, those vibrations, were carried up to the universe in wave after wave after wave. A single crystal, held in the hand also does this on a smaller scale, but just as effectively.
Daniel explained to me later, "The Circle of Sound opens a portal of energy, which allows people, especially children, to go to a unique and special place. The sound leads to a zone of balance, comfort, centering, silence, emptying and filling at the same time. The sound is a universal language, requiring no dogma or intellect. The sound dissolves the difference or barrier between love and fear."
We ended the afternoon by standing in a circle, holding hands while Berdie, our host, looked to the person on her left and proclaimed, "From my heart to your heart, I wish you joy, peace and love." This sentiment was verbally passed from person to person around the entire circle. It was an incredible end to an incredible day.
I had a wonderful time and came home physically buzzing from being so high in the ethers. I immediately laid down and fell asleep, even though it was very early in the evening. As I slept, my body began a healing process on every level. This day was an amazing adventure.
