Pizzaz! Wishes, Dreams, Memories and Decrees
Part 4

Resolutions, taking stock-Hello My Dear, Sweet Friends! How are you and how's YOUR inventory looking?
Why did I leave the best for last you may be asking? I really needed to do some foundational work with you first. Pizzaz is an anocrostic, also called a mnemonic, nowadays. When you do participate, act in any kind of situation, or get involved in any endeavor, I want you to ask yourself these questions: First of all, do you have Pizzaz? As you do these things, I mean even mopping a floor, believe it or not, even household chores can give u that Pizzaz! That's because you'll know that you'll be Feng Shuing your home. Oh, my gosh, Feng Shui. There's that magic word again. "As above so below". Really.
Even cleaning out a refrigerator, or a closet, can give you that kind of Pizzaz if you know that it is going to alter the vibrational energy in your outer world; it will draw to the room and space, goodness to your life. So really, have a good time with what you might have considered grunt work before. Enjoy everything you do.
When you are paying bills and your pulse starts to race, say to yourself, "Well, I have the money somehow, some way to pay these things". Just, always, always look at the bright side of everything. When you are paying your bills and you are able to do whatever you can do, focus on the positive. If you cannot pay your bills, stay calm; reach out-even to your creditors! No one resists a truly loving spirit.
Money is energy. KNOW that all and MORE than all of your needs are met, and watch what happens. However, remember, have the serene disconcern of an innocent child, no matter what, in order for it to work. It will enliven your energy. You'll become more productive. It will heal you!
Okay, back to Pizzaz. Ask yourself these questions and if the answers are "no" to any of them, then see if you can alter the situation so the answers are yes.
P "P" is for passion. Do you have and feel passion for what you're doing? Do you believe in it? Do you love it a lot? Passion is an interesting thing. There are times in our lives when there is nothing we can find that gives us passion. So what we have to do is create the things. Even choose things that are not part of your routine that give you passion. This can be done as a family, as well. Do we like to swim? Do we like to hug? Do we have a pet? Do we need to get a pet? Do we love listening to music? We must do anything that will create that passion and give us that raison d'être we spoke about earlier.
Get out of bed even if it is just about
oh, let's say you've got these bright new CDs that you gave yourself to be self-nurturing. So get up just to enjoy yourself (yes
make up your mind that even if you're going to have to do what you perceived as an unpleasant task or phone call, DECIDE it WILL be pleasant. The lilt in your voice will be contagious).
Get up, just because your life is a gift. As long as you're here, why not make a concerted effort to enjoy yourself? Yes, even if the illusion of the outer world is seeming to defeat you-that's ESPECIALLY when you need to muster all of your inner forces to live; and be imaginative if things are rough. Take it as a challenge from the Universe to show you just how brilliant and enterprising you are;)! Passion is something, that, even if we create it ourselves and there is nothing happening in our lives, we CAN create it-and reap the boundless happy surprises and rewards!
Let's say we have to make a choice. This is really what this is about. Looking at what we're doing now, in our work, in our lives, in our relationships, and things that exist now: Do they/are they having a life of their own in our lives, controlling us, or are they giving us passion, here and now?
The next word is "I". This stands for INTUITION. The "I" in "pizzazz". That comes the Latin verb "intuitar"; which means inner teacher. So, even centuries ago, Latin-speaking religious guides understood that the inner teacher was always guiding us. Tuition or tutor is a teacher. Does our intuition tell us this is a good thing to be doing? Usually we get very strong feelings to do something or not. Again, it can't be based on guilt, fear or desperation. Fear is hard, and if you don't have good intuition, then, kind of ride with it for a while if you can, see where it goes.
So for those times when you're not intuitive, take a class, buy divination cards, or consult an intuitive person. Unless you're truly at ease, consult three because usually, you know people are fallible. I'm not saying to consult until you get what you want to get/hear what you want to hear. However, if you don't know how to read cards or do that sort of thing, then see an intuitive counselor. Or speak with an intuitive friend. Or pray. When my students tell me they are lost, or confused, I often talk about compassion.
Recognize another familiar word? The first part of that word is 'compass'. You've got it! Talk to your heart, your inner compass; when in doubt about a situation or decision, be compassionate, and the 'right' direction will show itself! So be adamant, if need be, to insist on giving yourself the small moment it takes to breathe into your heart, relax and confer with your Inner Master!
YOUR intuition has to tell you that it is the right thing to do and you just get a feeling usually in your heart and in your throat. I know, I feel like I'm choking if something is really wrong and it is not a fear thing. It's like it is wrong and you just don't feel energy or pulled to do it. That is how I do it, but it doesn't mean that that is how other people get intuitive feelings. It's never an intellectual feeling. It's never rational. Intuition is not rational. It doesn't have to make any sense, but that's okay. That's a good thing.
Okay, the next letter is "Z". "Zeal". Do you feel "zeal"? Where your feet can have wings. When looking at the future, not necessarily the work, (because you know that is just a resistant, non-productive, childish cop-out reason, NOT to do the WORK).
I mean sometimes something that is going to be grand will take work. So don't look at that and don't complain about the work. Just look at the incentives. Focus on those. What will happen after you finish the work? What do you see that creates the zeal? Answer that question and do something (even if it takes 5 minutes) towards that goal everyday!
Now we move on the next 'Z'-Zest. Just as a tip for achieving
"Zest". Are the people, places and situations involved, on balance, giving you zest? Giving you a zest for life? Are they positive people? And again, when I say that, I'm asking if they encourage you? And even if they are neutral, it is better than unkind
And don't answer this if you're feeling withdrawn, suspicious, even paranoid; if you are feeling bad or going through a bad feeling, or you are working on feelings of low self-esteem, your answer and tendency may be to 'blame' something or someone outside of yourself.
Beware if you find yourself thinking it's someone else's 'fault' why things are 'wrong'; but, on the bright side, use it to your advantage-a clear sign YOU need to take responsible for events in your life; do it lovingly, with heart! Don't go to the other extreme; overcome the temptation for aggressive control.
Do your best to not project that into the people with whom you're living or working. If you have a good opportunity to do something and you're healing from a bad relationship, a bad marriage, a health crisis, or whatever and you're lucky enough to be involved in a situation that is very, very bright and beautiful, then go with it!! Max out! Whatever you focus upon increases!
So, I ask you, do the people around you have mostly zesty energy, or are they giving you feelings of zest? Are they creative and wonderful in bringing out the best. That's a good thing. Use that as an affirmation/incantation: "I have zest when people bring out my best." That's what I've always said. So you can use that one too. Of course, we do have to get to a point where we do not allow the outer to 'rock our world'-still, if you have a choice in the matter, do choose folks that bring out your best. Martyrdom is highly overrated;)
Okay, so that's "PIZZ" and we are up to an "A", aren't we? The "A" is "Am I actually ABLE to do this right away?" So if the answer is "yes", then that's a great thing. Am I actually able to do this right away or very soon? You know, soon as in a matter of months, not like ten years. That's also a very important thing. The things that will give you the most Pizzaz, aren't things that you are going to be doing in 20 years. They could be foundational for 20 years and so on, but, ask yourself: What will really do it for you as a vital human, whether you're 90 or 9?; something you can enjoy soon! All right, you get the message.
Now, we're up to yet another "Z". Gee, if we were playing Scrabble, I'd be a major winner with these letters on a triple word score or something;) Back to "Z": Am I capable of ZAPPING any and all the negative, draining, things that will zap or drain me of all of the above? If the answer to that is "yes", then go for it. You've got to do that. This is also about karma. It's a tough task master but you have to ask yourself the above questions. If the answer to them is "yes", great. If the answer is "no", then you've got some new work ahead of you.
However, this is about the POSITIVE JOYFUL ASPECTS OF LIFE, and not only attaining them, but also MAINTAINING them. This is about PIZZAZ and I figured all of you could use a shot in the arm. We've all been living through some powerfully challenging history. Here's to all of us, for making it through these times, much wiser, stronger, and mindful of our connectness, more than ever!
For now, I wish you so much love, with wishes for you to SEE EVERYDAY as a holiday, meant to make RESOLUTIONS TO A NEW LIFE! One filled with so much light, an overflow of joy, jam-packed with goodness, tons of energy and NON-STOP PIZZAZ!
