Dear Friends,
When I speak of your act of power, I am referring to your essential or primal act of power. I am speaking of your destiny. Imagine for a moment that you are a wise elder who is reflecting upon the long road of your life. When looking back down the road of your past, what event or destination would stand out as one you would not have wanted to miss? This stop along the road, this "one thing" that you hope to be or accomplish is a reflection of your essence. Discovering your essence by creating an act of power is the heart of my work with you. I want you to identify that "one thing" that defines your essence and find a way to live it.
It is true that any goal you achieve and any challenge your overcome, no matter how large or small, is an act of power. However, when I refer to your primal act of power I am talking about an extraordinary rather than an ordinary goal. Goals such as losing weight or learning to balance your checkbook to the penny are wonderful. But for this endeavor to comprise a primal act of power, it must be an extraordinary goal that defines the person of power that you truly are.
Remember always, that an act of power manifests as a series of mirrors you must look into to discover your weaknesses and strengths, your challenges and victories. Through the vehicle of the manifestation of a primal act of power, you create a vivid reflection of your spiritual essence. Your purpose in making an act of power is to unveil an understanding of who you are in relationship to the world of creation and the origin of your true nature emanating from the source of the universe.
Moving an Act of Power around the Sacred Wheel
When creating an act of power, it is important to discern how you cast your luminous fibers to the four cardinal directions as you dream your passion into reality. The Sacred Wheel of your Act of Power is a map for manifesting your destiny. If you focus on discovering how your energy meshes with the attributes of each of the four directions, this wheel will become a source of wisdom and guidance for you. In all of my online courses and in my 4-year mystery school, I ask my students to refer to the wheel often while we work together and to let the wheel become a sacred oracle that brings revelation and light at the end of their dark tunnels. Like all sacred wheels, you can dialogue with the Act of Power Wheel like you would with an old friend, listening to your inner wisdom as insights are revealed.
The manifestation of an act of power truly is a circular movement that brings balance and fulfillment to your life. Within this circular movement you must honestly and courageously address your weaknesses and strengths in each of the four directions. Manifestation of your act of power will arise out of a reservoir of creative energy, whose source is the power of balance and harmony you bring to your unique wheel of life. Working in each direction around the wheel will lead you in a spiraling dance of healing and evolvement that will empower and provide you with the energy you need to make an act of power.
Remember that we are always working toward maintaining our center as life continually changes and challenges us. So to strive for perfect balance is not the goal. Instead focus on developing a keen awareness of how you expend your energy in each direction of your life and fine-tune that awareness so that you are moving toward and living within the rhythm of balance and harmony. If you truly devote yourself to the task, your wheelwork will create a state of grace and equilibrium where this reserve of energy emerges, which can then be devoted to the manifestation of your act of power.
We traverse the sacred wheel in a circular movement, like the rotation of the earth around the sun. But there is also horizontal and vertical movement on the wheel of life. Horizontal movement occurs from east/west and west/east, whereas vertical movement refers to north/south and south/north. Horizontal and vertical movement is essential to your act of power because how you use these forms of movement on the wheel will determine your success in reaching your goals.
Horizontal Movement
Horizontal movement between east and west is the energy that flows between thought in the east and feeling in the west. We move horizontally when we discuss ideas or when we process issues. For example, with this form of movement we are in essence, going to the river of creativity to fill our clay pot with the water of ideas and feelings that we will then use to quench our thirst for creative manifestation. If we do not use this collected water of thought and feeling or if we carelessly allow its energy to spill away, then it becomes a distraction from our creative act of power. In other words, if you are not using your thoughts and feelings as fuel to drive your act of power into being, then you are wasting your energy and distracting yourself from your goal.
You must use your mind, your intent, and your emotions to drive your creativity into being. How you feel gives you intent and your dreams and emotions fill the clay pot with the waters of your vision. How you think actually creates your ability to manifest. The energy of your thoughts and feelings are essential then to the manifestation of your act of power and it is important to see this energy of thought and feeling as a very useful tool. However, this tool has a shadow. Its darkness is its propensity to distract you from your goal, which can be difficult to discern without a strong vision firmly rooted at the center of your attention.
Detecting when you have fallen under the shadow side of horizontal movement can be troublesome, because this form of movement on the wheel can be perceived as both a benefit and a distraction to our act of power. As a benefit, horizontal movement creates our experience in life and we create an act of power out of the energy of our experience. However if sharing ideas and processingfeelings becomes all we accomplish, then we know our horizontal movement has moved into the shadow of distraction and imbalance.
You must watch out for this trap and continually analyze how your tendency toward horizontal movement serves rather than distracts you from your act of power. You must balance your horizontal movement by ensuring that you are also moving vertically on your act of power wheel. The effect of horizontal movement should be to bring an idea into crystalline clarity, providing a sense of purpose, mission and focus. In that moment of real seeing, you rise up into vertical thought by the uplifting power of pure inspiration.
Vertical Movement
In the vertical movement of our consciousness, we manifest inspiration into physical being. The energy of inspiration and aspiration found in vertical consciousness beckons us ever closer to the Great Spirit. Passion contributes to the driving force of vertical movement on the wheel through its power to push us onward despite the obstacles that seek to deter us on our path to manifestation.
Your passion must be your constant companion on your path to creating an act of power. The energetic structure of your passion is filled with creativity, which continually longs to move upward into vertical consciousness in search of union with the source of all creation. Intent crystallizes your passion, leading it like an arrow flung toward the center of your target. That target is the vision of your dream created by the power of your experience and shaped by your will to manifest. Your will is the ability to see what you desire and to formulate a detailed vision of your dream. So your will paints a picture of your dream, but what lives within the force of your intent to manifest that dream into reality? That force is your passion.
The spiraling of energy creates the sacred dance of life. The inward spiral, of the female implosion of energy or the pulling in of power causes the stirring of life force, the receiving of inspiration and creativity. It is a gathering of power that swirls inward toward its center. The equal and opposite expression of the outward spiral or manifestation of the mirrors of consciousness is the male explosion of energy. This explosion of energy into form seeks to exist in the outer realm as a reflection of its center. When we examine the spiral dance of life at its crossroads, we see that horizontal movement on the wheel is an implosion of energy, whereas the explosion of energy occurs when we move vertically on the wheel.
The accumulation of information and spiritual life force is created within the human body by the implosion of energy in horizontal movement. When you express your spirit through the translation of that information, movement is created in a spiraling form even within the cells of your body. Horizontal and vertical movement creates the spiral dance of life. When you have what looks like power in the world coming from a place of ego and false self, where competition and conquest are at the forefront, you may think that what you acquire will bring you happiness and peace. Instead, the very possessions and ideals you thought would set you free own you. This is an implosion of energy without explosion. So we need both, implosion and explosion via horizontal and vertical movement on the wheel.
Without the spiral dance, there exists a kind of energetic holding pattern created by greed and possibly fear. A stasis is created that ultimately drains you of energy. You lose power. If you stay in that state of non-movement long enough, the holding of energy can become the beginning of death.
Move into the world with your acts of power from a place of expansion and explosion; expand your heart and your spirit because you want to leave the earth a better place than you found it. When your heart opens, your consciousness begins to move, and you will find that your like to work, you like to do things, and you like toaccomplish because you enjoy the actual act of doing for itself and not necessarily for what it brings.
Vertical thought is a way of bringing in spiritual abundance and will always bring you something in equal kind in terms of physical, worldly abundance. You achieve abundance because of the energy you are generating, but you don't do it from a place of materialism or greed. Love is at the base of creation. In the absence of love, your manifestation arises out of fear.
As we work with the Act of Power wheel, in my upcoming online course, you will be analyzing your expenditure of energy in each direction. You will be taking the approach of horizontal movement as you discover your answers and come into a true understanding of your power, your identity, and your sense of self worth. Then the moment of truth will come, when the answers are found and the plan of action is laid out before you. Now you must lift up to the North into the essence of your inspiration, and manifest that dream or goal by moving down vertically to the South, into the creation of your act of power.
I once asked Agnes about the old saying, "Many are called but few are chosen." She said that we are all called and we are all chosen, but only the few have the vision and the courage to live their dreams. Most people spend their whole lives in horizontal movement on the wheel of life. It is the few who take their horizontal experience and manifest their dreams by moving vertically on the wheel of life. I hope that you will be among the few.
Many Blessings and Prayers for Peace,
Lynn V. Andrews
